My SparkPeople range this week is between 1480 & 1830 with a goal of 5700 cardio calories burned and a rate of 1.5 pound loss. I just decreased this because there is a bug in the way the Fitness Tracker adds things and I didn't get the 2 hours of gardening in today that I wanted to because I am so fatigued. See my journal entry for more on that.

What a week. I've updated my goals for a slower weight loss, which is what I'm doing anyway, so my new range is 1360-1690. I don't think I even averaged that. (highly unlikely) I'll check when the day is over.

Despite averaging within my range, the scale hasn't moved this week. I recalculated my range and it's going to be a bit lower, but I won't switch over to the new goals until next week.

I haven't really been eating this week like I should. A lot of personal issues and hours at the gym are interfering with my eating habits. I have already burned about 4000 calories this week in the gym. That was my goal. I have to burn less than 100 today and I will have 4000! I haven't weighed myself because it is TTOTM.

I teach my first aerobics class on Wednesday! I am so excited. Who would have thought that chunky me would be teaching aerobics. GO figure!

Larkspur! Hang in there!! It WILL get better - stop being so hard on yourself. I know it can be very disappointing, but the guilt can cause you to keep overeating too. Try to concentrate on one or 2 small dietary goals for the week & even if your calories are a little over, congradulate yourself for meeting those - even part of the time. I remember for awhile (like maybe even now), I could only stay within my calorie range a day or 2 a week. So if it was only one day, I'd try for at least 2 the next week, & then 3 the next. Take babysteps. And I'm very well acquainted with depression & stress, I assure you. Feel free to email me if you want to for any reason. (or not - whatever you like)

Anyways - I'm going to post, total & average my cals tomorrow. It's time to go to BED - I need Sleeeep if I'm going to eat right & exercise tomorrow!!!

WOW! I was HUNGRY today! I think all the working out is catching up with me and my body just kind of freaked. I was under for the first time. Not intentional just feel really full today. Had a lot of vegetables and fiber. Tomorrow I'm going to a wedding and I'm not sure whether I'll be able to stay within range. Any suggestions?

You can do it. Don't give up. Sometimes, it just helps to see where those calories are coming from. Use this as a learning curve. Lord knows, we all have those! Just keep your chin up and let yourself know that you can do it! Remember that there is not a due date for a lifestyle change in our diet. It is part of the journey. You just hit a bump. -Lisa

My anniversary dinner was fabulous; we ate from the "chef's table" menu: Dungeness crab spring roll with watercress and cilantro, grilled barramundi (a fish I never heard of) with baby vegetables and shrimp essence, and apple tarte tatin. The tracking was easy, because they supply the info on the back of the menu!
