Priny ~ what is your "fitness test"? WTG on your excellent results!! Deb
|
|
|
|
1. stretching 10-10: Got it in this morning.. 2. laying down fork : Ok have to try at dinner, at lunch I did however put my sandwich down after each bite and read a little between bites... 3. 30 minutes cardio daily: 30 minutes on the cross trainer thingy after my fitness test this morning 4. crunches (50) daily: 61 5. 20 push ups daily: 37 in different varieties 6. water: done 7. sleep: 7.5 last night 8. kitchen closing time: closed 6:15pm
Ok so I had my fitness test this morning and did pretty well overall.......my body fat percentage went down 2.1% in 5 weeks, my heart rate is down from 180 BPM to 162 BPM for the same test (yes I am physically in better shape than I was 5 weeks ago).
I can do more crunches and more jumping jacks per minute and more push ups overall than I could on March 14th.....

Yesterday~ Cardio : 30 minutes on the eliptical (I thought I was goning to die, thanks for pushing me everyone!!) Water : 4-5 liters Crunches : 100 Pushups : 20 against the wall (1 on the floor, so pathetic) Kitchen Closing : 8:00 PM Sleep Hours: 7.5, but got up for 45 minutes to settle down my little one Put the fork down between bites: I tried, but wasn't consistant. Will try harder!! Multivitamin: No Strething: I did about 5 minutes
Priny -- I was totally thinking about putting that in for the challenge of the day. "Exercise of the day". Most of them you can do w/o any additional equip. Yesterday they had two one that you could do push ups w/ a chair & the other was w/ the exercise ball. I'm all for it!!
Today~ Cardio : Water : going on my 3rd liter Crunches : Pushups : Kitchen Closing: Sleep Hours: Put the fork down between bites: Multivitamin: Strething: Team name....I'll have to come back to that when my brain is working better. :)

Erin, I use a postal meter scale. I am not sure how much it cost, but it measures to a 10th of an ounce, and as a bonus can be used for mailing too! Hope this helps! Kat

Well, yesterday was the perfect day, until I forgot to do my stretches at the end of the night! Dopey move. Well, today is headed in the right direction anyway: Stretches: a.m. done Put down food with every bite so far 30 min. treadmill 205 crunches & 20 pushups (+other ST) 3 cups water and counting 10+ hours of sleep last night (I likes me the shut eye) took my vitamin
I am trying to think of a good challenge name to contribute, but so far I am at a loss. A Memorial Day deadline is good for me. I am already in a Mem. Day challenge, but would like to see how much we all can lose by then also! Alright, time for me to think think think!

Hi there! I've been reading all your posts and decided you would be the group to kick me in the butt! My name is Angela, I live in Temecula, CA. I just turned 35 April 3rd. I married my high school sweetheart, we've been married for 13 years. I have 2 weebulers ages 11 and 9. I started Spark at the end of March and have lost 6 lbs. Not very good according to me. I think a BL challenge is exactly what I need to get focused. I've been so inspired by the shows especially the trainers.

Priny - just have 3 pound dumbbell weights. They are new and haven't had much use yet. I am waiting for a chance to sit down and go thru some of SP exercises. I feel I should change my morning routine a little to incorporate some activity with the weights - after all, thats what I bought them for. Well, I better turn the lights out if I am going to get over 7 hrs tonight. -MA

I can't wait for the morning because I take my fitness test again and get to see if I brought my body fat percentage down. The day I started spark it was at 37.7%. I know I can do more push ups than the day I started (only 9 on my knees and 0 regular). I will post how that goes tomorrow.
Question for everyone......Does everyone have the access to all the supplies for the spark exercises (dumbbells, swissball, medicineballs, etc) because I am thinking about a challenge where you have to get in the exercise of the day. How does that sound to everyone? If that is good we can start that one for next week.

I don't think it will get any better than it was today. I got in over 3 hrs of cardio with walking/water jogging/biking. I also did strength/stretch n bend/wall pushups-30/crunches-60 I remembered to put my fork down at lunch & dinner. It seems I never get more than 7 hrs sleep and thats good for me cuz usually its 5 or 6, but its a goal for me to get more and of course a challenge in here.. Always get at least 96 oz of water. My thyroid Dr took all my vitamins away - said if I am eating healthy I don't need vitamins - he said they make you fat - who am I to argue with the Dr. so no multi for me. I am finding the 10 min stretch hard to do in the evening - I just want to colapse in the evening after a full day of behaving. Ktchn clsd at 06:30 tonite. My wardrobe is already getting quite limited. I don't want to buy a whole lot new as long as I am still losing. I will have to head out to a cple thrift stores, but those aren't even cheap anymore. Going to go stretch for 10 min - nite all-MA

Hi All,
Am stretches done Cardio=45 mins crunches=200 pushups=25 water=72oz so far kitchen closed at 7pm sleep got in 9 hours last night fork/spoon down between bites I have been doing good at this and I really like it,My husband and I eat at different times I eat at dinner time he eats before he goes to bed,yep bad time to eat I know, well anyway he would always come in after a bit and ask me how is my dinner and I would say, good and gone, but now it takes me longer to eat and I get to savor each bite instead of inhailing my food. Vitamin did not get that in cuz I have none I'll get some tomorrow. PM stretching will come before bed time.

Priny, I do 200 crunches a day. (It WAS 20, but that's a little light, dontcha think?)
1000 per week is a good goal. Just do them 50 at a time. You can do it! Lisa, wtg on the cardio. I'm off to the gym in a couple of hours.

Hi Everyone
I weighed in this morning cuz I started another challenge. I was up 1.5 pounds - must of been that big dinner yesturday. I have been exercising all morning. I walked 6 miles and spent time jumping up and down in the pool. I got hungry so pigging out on a big salad. The fork thing was for dinner, but beneficial if you follow thru on every meal. I forgot yesturday so trying to make it up. I plan on taking the cockatoo for a bike ride later. He just sits on the basket while I do all the peddling. We walk in the morning and he sits on my arm( glad he doesn't weigh much)and gives me smoochies. I think he feels this is our alone time cuz he won't talk to anyone - its like he is trying to tell me we are suppose to be walking not chatting. He is one cool bird. I perched him on a fence yesturday where some youngster were playing basketball, he turned into a #1 fan in seconds. He was bobbing up and down, strutting, whistling, screeching - I took him away cuz I think he was distracting their game.
Jeeeeeze, I can't believe its after 4pm already. I am out of here - maybe later. - MA
