I haven't read the book but really want to! My favourite book is the bone collector; the movie's not quite as good!
I haven't done these challenges yet but am getting to them. I've done most of them though. Will check them off on March 29th thread.

| P.S. I'm really proud - I came across a photo of me 4 years ago, skinny and pretty and happy! I tacked it up next to my mirror, so I can remember it every day why I am working.

CHALLENGE OF THE DAY: 50 Squats, 25 Tricep Extensions, 25 Hammer Curls, and 30 minutes Walking/Jogging/Running
- Even with a head cold and really not feeling like doing much, I did 30 minutes on the elliptical (at a fairly low level). Got all my weight work in too!
QUESTION OF THE DAY: What is your favorite book?
What's a book? I haven't read a whole lot in recent years. I devoured the first 3 Harry Potters in 4 days, but haven't read any of the rest. The last really good book I read was a nonfiction called Wildly Sophisticated about women in business.

I'm working on the challenges...still have a couple exercises to do!
My favorite book is Memoirs of a Geisha, which I read a long time ago and was so excited they were going to make it into a movie...but I haven't even seen it yet! I also love The Great Gatsby, 1984, and The Pact by Jodi Picoult. If you haven't read Jodi Picoult, you should - she's amazing at creating stories.

ok, commander, I got all my challenges done for the day.....BIG STAR FOR DEANNA!!!!!! YAY!!!!!
I hate using the scale, all it shows is that I lose 4, gain 2.....duh! Scales should take into account that we are women and our weight fluctuates because of water....stupid scales!
Hope everyone else is doing well on their challenges. YAY US!

Welcome MEANMUM, 2QUESTIONS, IRISHSTAR526, BRIDESMAID, and JENN419!! It's awesome to have you join us! :o) Our goal is to reach whatever goal we've set by any time in June. Most of us have measured ourselves to see how much jiggle we can get rid of so that the scale doesn't discourage us if it doesn't budge too much. :) Good luck and have fun! MBROOKE, it must be really nice to be able to exercise, get 1 credit, and have fun all at once! :) I would like to do some type of exercise on the weekend that's fun like biking or taking walks on a trail. Maybe I will when the weather warms up a bit more. :) -Amanda

Don't really have a favorite book. Since I have had my son (he is 2 1/2 now), I really haven't had much time to read. When I am reading, I am studing (I am a student at the tech school). I am enjoying hearing what everyone else likes, though. I am going to have to look into some of these!
Off to do my walking....

| Hi I was wondering if I could join this challange I could realy use the motivation.
|
|
|
|
| Well I did my walking (40-minute walk covering 2.35 miles during my lunch) and my 50 squats. I'll have to do my tricep extensions and hammer curls at home later tonight since I don't have anything heavy to use as a weight.

I finally got a chance to do a challenge! (today's)
QOTD: I'm not really a big reader... but I would have to say "Lovely Bones" by Alice Sebold is my all-time favorite.
My tennis class started today... I'm taking it at school, so I get exercise AND get 1 credit for it. We've had some awesome weather up here lately so I'm excited to get out on the courts Tuesday! I also am going horseback riding today... I'm just going crazy with all this exercise! I have class until 5:45, but hopefully I will get up to the barn in time to ride outside in daylight. I just started my diet, and today is the third day I've been religious about counting my calories. The past 2 days I have been between 12-1300, and it really wasn't that hard! I was stuck at school with crappy food this morning, so I'm already up to 877 for today so I'll have to watch it (my current sleep pattern involves staying up till 2-3, and it's so hard not to eat at night!).
Anyways, I hope everyone's having the same awesome spring weather we're having up here in NY!

Welcome EMMALEESMOMMY!! You can do it, you can lose the jiggle by June 3rd! :o) I've come to the conclusion that it's losing inches that really matters and not so much the number on the scale. Sometimes when I look at the scale I could throw it out the window, lol. :-p But for this challenge most of us have measured ourselves so that we can see how many inches we can lose by June as well as pounds. Good luck with this challenge! We can do it! :) Amanda

Well, I'm about to go to bed, so what I'm going to do is do this challenge tomorrow morning when I wake up to get my star!
QOTD- Hide and Seek by James Patterson. I have a hard time keeping interest in books. They really have to catch me, this was a good one.

HI AGAIN!! Welcome FAJAME AND PERKINI!! Hop right into the fun. :) Our goal is to reach whatever goal we have set for June, whether it's losing some of the jiggle, or all of it and our individual goals don't have to be reached necessarily by June 1st either, it could be June 30th for example. :-) I post this challenge on this challenge board every day and everyone posts when they have time to or access to a computer so you don't have to post every day if you're not able to. Good luck and I hope you enjoy this challenge! I know I am! :o) Hey Shivy, walk however many times you need to. As long as you walk 30 minutes is what counts, it doesn't have to be all at once. :) Deanna, haha! Yeah, I'm thinking about becoming a certified drill sergeant for a boot camp... Hehe! :-p Hi WISE, yes, like MIC suggested you can go and see a demo of them. They're basically bicep curls in reverse. Hope that helps! :) Well, I got Sunday's star yesterday because I made a recipe: homemade hot chocolate. Mmm, it was yummy and it's SO filling... I'm not kidding, I couldn't believe how full I felt after drinking it! It's just the Hershey's hot chocolate recipe where you use cocoa powder, vanilla, a pinch of salt, and I use skim milk and baking splenda. I like it although people's tastes are different. I love dark chocolate and I don't mind this hot chocolate even though for some it's too bitter. I think I love anything with chocolate simply because it has chocolate in it, regardless of the taste, lol. :-p I'm done with today's challenge! Woohoo!! :o) I hope everyone's doing well with the challenge so far, I know it's tougher than usual. :) Later! Amanda

Wo-hoo! I'm already done with this challenge. I took care of this with my morning workout. I guess I just lucked out since I didn't know what you'd be doing.
QOTD: I love anything by Nicholas Sparks.
|
|
|
|
Okay, yesterday's challenge is done :)
Favorite book... I don't have a favorite book, although Gone with the Wind is probably my most read.
Nora Roberts is by far my favorite author though. I have almost her entire collection :)
