Hi Kaylene!

You beat me to it! I just logged in to suggest that it might be better to do that as there were only three of us left in December.

See you there!

Hey Paolina. Good job. Keep up the exercise. I jumped over to the other exercise thread called "Jump Into January." I thought it might be more supportive to have more people around us too. Have a great week. Kaylene

Happy New Year, Kaylene and Rosemary! I hope it will be good to you both.

I went to the gym in the morning on Friday so that's another 75 minutes, making a total of 1615 minutes for the month. I hope we'll all be back again with new targets for January.

Rosemary and Paolina, hope you both continue to feel better and get totally well soon. I didn't feel too great either last night and didn't get any exercise in. But, I did play racquetball with my son on Tuesday night for 80 minutes.

Total for the month 1030 minutes down, 370 minutes to go.

I can't believe that tomorrow is the last day of 2004. It seems like it just flew by. Hope you all have a great end of the year and a wonderful start to 2005.

Rosemary, I'm sorry you and your husband were ill and hope you'll both be feeling a lot better soon.

Kaylene, I'm glad you had an enjoyable Christmas.

I'm exercising again but still feeling the effects of the virus. It affects the ear so it's rather like being sea-sick and feeling so dizzy was quite frightening at times. It's easing a bit now but nothing seems quite real and I don't feel my balance is so good as usual. At least I'm relieved that I don't have low blood pressure because that would really limit what I could do.

Sunday: walking & stretching 55 minutes
Monday: treadmill, weights & stretching 75 minutes
Tuesday: table tennis & stretching 75 minutes
Wednesday: treadmill, weights & stretching 60 minutes
Thursday: walking & stretching 45 minutes
Total: 1540

It seems unfair that we should get sick when we're trying so hard to be healthy but we just have to keep going. Hopefully, 2005 will be a better year health-wise for all of us.

thanks Klady, still not feeling the best, may have to give myself more time. Being sick is for the pits, guess it is one more good reason to keep working on getting healthy!

Paolina, I hope your leg is feeling better. Hurting is no fun at all.

I took a couple of extra days off last week and spent them with my family and did a lot of baking and cooking holiday goodies. Had a wonderful Christmas Eve and Christmas day and spent yesterday just chilling out after everything was over.

I was trying to think of what exercise I had done since I last recorded it and my mind went blank so I will have to check back in later when I can think more clearly. Too much work stuff on my mind right now especially since I'm playing catch up after time off.

Hope you all are well and enjoyed the holidays. Kaylene

Kaylene and Rosemary, I hope you are both all right and the only reason you haven't been posting is that you've been too busy enjoying yourselves.

My exercise has been very low-key this week: two days without any, then Thursday a walk for 35 minutes and today [Friday] for 45 minutes plus ten minutes of stretching.

That gets me to 1230 for this month, 30 over target.

I hope the medicine works, Kaylene. You're still managing to get a fair amount of exercise in despite the migraine.

It doesn't look as though I will be doing much today unless I do a gentle walk or some stretching. I planned to play table tennis but my leg is still very painful and it could make things worse.

Paolina, thanks for the kind words. We are trying a new preventive medicine that I've been on for the past month. We'll have to see how that one works out.

Here's my update.
12/17/04 Heavy cleaning in preparation for company. I'll claim 120 minutes for that one although I'm sure it was much longer than that.
12/18/04 35 minutes walking (2.1 miles) 65 minutes racquetball with my son.
No exercise yesterday.

Total for the month 705 minutes down, 695 to go.

Have a great day and a great Christmas week. Kaylene

Kaylene, I used to have migraines and they really are horrible. I do hope someone can sort out a way to control them soon. Mine usually started at the weekend or when I went on holiday, when I was able to relax after pressure at work. I found yoga helped me a lot.

12/17 walking & Pilates 55 minutes
12/18 walking & Pilates 105 minutes

Myrna, Rosemary, and Paolina, you guys are doing great. Keep up the great work.

I am feeling much better now. My family and I went up to the mountains yesterday and played in the snow, went tobaganing, and I hiked around quite a bit through the snow. It was so much fun. It felt great to want to keep going and not feeling like a party pooper. That's 100 minutes of exercise there. Today, I went walking for just over 60 minutes (4.3 miles).

I feel better for making some progress on my monthly pledge. Total for the month 290 minutes down, 1110 minutes to go.

Have a great night all. Kaylene

I hope you're feeling better now, Kaylene, and that your run of bad luck has ended.

It's sultry and stormy today so, rather than exercise outdoors, I've just done a walkaerobics video for 30 minutes, plus a Pilates one for 20 minutes.
330 down, 870 to go.

Hey all. Sorry I haven't been posting. I was sick on and off last week and not able to exercise. This weekend was crazy hectic. My daugther had her winter formal. The battery died on one of our vehicles. Lots of other stuff too. Then, this week I've been sick the past two days with a bug that's been going around and not able to do much of anything.

I did manage to play racquetball on monday with my son for 95 minutes. So, that's my progress for the month. 1305 minutes to go. That's not too good considering almost a third of the month is gone now. As long as I get in what I can though I will feel pretty good about it.

Have a great day today all. Kaylene
