Marie - I just read your email re: hitting an ice patch in the road w/ personal issues. what ever they are my heart goes out to you. The longer I live the more I beleive in the power and reality of prayer so I will keep you in my prayers. Just in case you don't see it sometimes: you are a joy to know and it's obvious you have a good heart as big at Texas. Whatever it is that you are going we're thinking of you and hoping you get thru it. Thinking of you pretty woman.

Good Morning Marie and Randy and Tammy & all - I don't get on here much but I did want to say that I think about you all and hope the new way of life is working for you. I see from your wt. amts. that is is. GREAT JOB! marie - I like that pic. of you sitting by your computer (?). You are a pretty woman (sorry Julia Roberts). My wt. hasn't gone down so need to kick things up. I do munch too much in between the healthy eating I do so that will have to be axed. I still feel good about changing to more fiber and fruit/veggies however. I just had a b'day (51 on 3/12) and got what I wanted which is one of those steppers that are used in aerobic step class. now when I do my athome workout I can use that to increase my heartrate. Been a busy week: just bought our 16 year old his first car yesterday; yes he's thrilled and we are and we arent but it was time. now he needs a job and is looking for work. My husband just had 3 moles removed and one more to come off that the doc. says may be Melanoma. we'll keep our fingers crossed and prayers going that those moles are benign. Randy - I've been meaning to take a look at the dogs you raise. what kind are they again and what is the link where I can see them? Marie, I hope you get your computer working again. what a pain when computers are on the fritz.
Well off to have breakfast and then take my son to school. now that we bought the new car of course I'll be broke paying the insurance (today) for a 16 year old boy to drive ($1,200 for 6 months). I'll be giong to the temp agency soon so I can work to pay for everything. how is the weather where you all are? It snowed here in Vancouver (portland area) couple weeks ago but now it's just gray and rain and yukky. can't wait for the sun. when it comes out it's hard not to cry from sheer relief.
WEll - have a super day Marie and thanks a lot for keeping in touch with me and others. You are awesome girl.

hi everyone, lisa here. I am still at my same weight that I started with buy yesterday I had a very bad eating day.... from being extremely tired and stressed at work, (I do overnights) and coming home to 3 babies madness (actually 4yrs and 3yrs) the madness is there, there not really babies anymore though they will always be to me. I am sticking with it because if anything, I will not get any fatter, just stay the same, just more active. Sorry for not being a good rolemodel. Lisa

Hi Marie-

Hope all is well with you. You can always stretch your goal out further when you hit 135. My goal is 130, which is actually on the upper end of healthy for my height. I wonder who comes up with those charts? I feel so healthy now, have no health problems at all. (I didn't when I weighed 216 pounds either!) Will check in again tomorrow AM!

Hey Lisa one thing that weight watchers stress to us is to try to eat 6 times aday if you can and you need breakfast to kick start things in the morning. If you dont eat and skip meals then you body thinks it isnt going to get anymore and it will start storing food as fat. So it is very important to eat snacks between meals. I am no expert on this but I feel like I been in WW my whole life as long as I have been going lol

Good morning all. I am thrilled, my rescued cat is definately pregnant..... I've been doing my exercise but I have been told the reason why I may not be losing is that I am not eating enough in the morning (sometimes I eat my first meal at noon) so the body things it is on starve mode so what I do eat gets automatically stored as fat. My next immediate goal is to get containers to plan my meals a day in advance. Lisa

I really do enjoy watching them cause after such a long road that I have been on I can really feel for them

The ladies on the biggest loser made it look like after hard work the pounds just drop off. They do not show the daily hourly workout. I bet if we could pay to spend 2 weeks to a month the company would make a killing...... I do love the show. I cry as each person weighs in.

Hi Marie- Good job on your loss. I lost 1 pound and am pretty jived about that! It has been a rough couple of weeks for me. Working hard and not losing anything. Oh well, I have been in the 150's since my first week of TBL (early Feb) and haven't moved the other way. I can live with that. Have a great day, I will check in later this evening!

Do you guys still chat??

Glad to see everyone is doing well. It's 7:00pm central time. I've eaten supper, daughter is upstairs taking a bath, she's going back to school tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm quit tired though, i worked out in the yard today. That was my workout. I was proud of myself. My husband will be called out to work here soon. My mom called me a little earlier and asked me if Sara would like to go to their place for spring break. Took me by surprise. they live out in the country and I think it would be good for her, the out doors, and fishing.
Take care and talk to everyone soon

I will try the cake mix with the diet coke. I would definely cut down on eating the dough. I just realize I would not know how much to add and do I not add the eggs or not add the oil. I will google I guess. I am beat. I got my workout in this am before I had to go to a meeting at work. Naptime. Lisa

Good Morning Randy and to the rest of you:
Hey - good ideas about the cake - I'll give it a try. I just googled "healthy chocolate chip muffins" and came up with quite a few hits so to anyone who wants chocolate chip or chocolate muffins, try the google search. Randy - best of luck this week 'upping' your workout. I too am not seeing the decrease in wt. but I still am a muncher so need to knock it off but otherwise I eat healthy. I'm sure I just eat too many calories. I too have kicked up my workout adding 2 more days totaling a 5 day workout and a easy walk on day 6. eventualy I should see some results but am impatient.
Marie - I hope your daughter feels better soon. it sure can hurt according to my 12 year old who use to get it quite a bit. My 16 year old son is more prone to getting bronchitis and pneumonia. he had pneumonia when he was 1. I'll never forget it-scary. he has many outdoor allergies and gets shots and takes meds. eventually he will only do the shots. marie - have a good day and I hope your girl is up and running around soon.
to the rest of you - I look forward to getting to know you and hello to Jen and Tammy and anyone else I remember from TBL website. I need to add a profile but can't see where I do that. will look further. well, off to say good bye to my son as he heads off to school. got a busy day of shopping (I'm braving Costco) and odds/ends so better hop in shower once he's out the door.
Talk to y'all later.

Good morning all how is everyone doing, I am going to try to turn up the heat on myself this week and try to do double workouts all I can. I just am not seeing the weight loss that I want to see, as to the chocolate muffins weightwatchers has these that we make and all you do is take a cheap chocolate cake mix and 1 can of punkin filling and mix and bake and they are good. another cake they talked about last night is taking a cake mix what ever flavor you want to use and like if it is chocolate use diet coke and bake or yellow use diet sprite or 7-up and they say them are really good. Hope this helps

Does anyone have a chocolate healthy muffin recipe. I still cringe at all this healthy food. I am proud last night I cut up an onion, pepper, sm potatoe, 1/2c frozen spinach, and egg and fried it with olive oil. It looked pretty and it was good. But it was fried in olive oil. It was 27 grams of fat, but olive oil is a healthier oil. Who knows what tonights supper will be. The rest of the family had mac & cheese.

Hello to all - I don't know many of you though I know Marie and Jen from the biggest loser website (and tammy too). I wanted to thank you for your posts as it reminds me to make sure I have a mid morning snack. to help me remember to eat mid morning I have ziplock bags of snack food prepared for the week. On sunday I make up at least 7 bags of the snack that includes: 22 almonds, 2 T dark chocolate and 2 handfuls of raisans. yes a bit high on fat but I try to have fat % be lower on other meals. (fat: 16g, carb: 16g, protien: 6g, calories: 217kcal) I like your cheeries idea too.

a good recipe for muffins that could work for snack or breakfast is:

Blueberry Bran muffins - 400 degrees @ 12 min or so

1-1/2 cups unprocessed wheat bran or oat bran
1 C whole wheat flour
2 T ground flaxseed
1-1/4 t baking soda
1 t ground cinnamon
1/8 t salt
3/4 C 1% milk or unflavored soymilk
1/3 C honey
1 ripe banana, mashed
1 large egg
2 T olive oil
1 t vanilla extract
1 C fresh blueberries or other berries
directions:
In medium bowl, combine bran, flour, flaxseed, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. set aside. In other bowl or blender, combine the milk, honey, banana, egg, olive oil, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Make well in dry ingredients and pour in 1/3 of liquid mixture. using spoon, stir until smooth. add remaining liquid and stir just until combined. add blueberries and stir again but don't over mix.

fill 12 count cupcakes with batter. You can freeze up to 3 months. once cooled if you freeze them, wrap cooled muffins tightly in plastic wrap and place in freezer bag.
nutrtion facts:
fat: 4 g
carb: 22g
protien: 4g
calories: 126 kcal.
(I buy frozen blueberries from costco and microwave them to thaw and drain juice. ) again, I try to make these on sunday.
Also, I try to make sure there is cut up grapefruit to grab for mid a.m. or p.m. snack and I have cut up celery w/ creamcheese or peanut butter; both are easy to grab. good luck. (those recipes and ideas were from the biggest loser website)
I haven'nt lost much but I do feel better that I am eating healthier and that is soooo important too.

Lisa, I have to agree with you. You really have to try hard to eat about everythree hours to keep things up and running. Even if you just put some cheerioes in a baggie and munch on them when you can should help. Getting extra exercise is great. One of the main reasons I am here is to get in shape. The pounds are not the most important thing to me. Don't get me wrong.. I watch the scale like a hawk, but I know ths since I am trying to lose the last few pounds and gaining muscle at the same time it is hard to make it move. Give the cheerios a thought and maybe we can figure out another way to sneak some food into you before noon.

Hugs

Teri

hi everyone. I am here, just busy, but not as busy as last week. today i got to exercise, read mail and put clothes away and I have an hour before one of the twins gets home. I realized that there are days that i do not eat until noon and that might be the reason why I do not lose. The body stores whatever i eat as fat so when i do not eat it has energy. What do you guys think. I think it is progress that i do the exercise tape, regardless of the pound issue, the clothes feel alittle looser sometimes..... Lisa
