......200... These are more head raises, and I did them before I logged on.
Ok, I hadn't been on this site since last Tuesday and it's Sunday (cold).
Thanks, for the NOEXCUSESDOIT right way to do a crunch, that was a great help.
Me......I'm for quality and not necessarily for quantity. So, from now on, will be doing the correct way and as many as I can do.
So, Paperbagbitch, So, I'd suggest to do 3 times 20 REALLY SLOW crunches about three to four times in a week. It works much better than doing a thousand every day~~good advice!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Picture your body flat on the ground as a piece of paper. You want to roll that piece of paper up, same with your body. Start with your head and slowly.. SLOWLY curl your head to your chest, chest towards your mid-section, to your belt line. Come all the way up and touch your toes(if able). Keep it TIGHT the whole time.
Otherwise, as you bring your head and chest towards your mid section, bring bent knees up at the same time. Try to keep your arms straight out above your head and fold over knees when they touch. Make your bottom the fulcrum and bring both sides up. Back down.. (one should take 15-20 seconds). I'd suggest to do 3 times 20 REALLY SLOW crunches about three to four times in a week. It works much better than doing a thousand every day
And you dont get abs just by doing them. U need to lose some fat too^^
For woman, the body fat percent must be around ten. Then you can see the abs...
What the heck? Why would someone do 100 crunches in a day, every day? It is NOT the amount, it is the quality. You can get the same results even if you would do only 40 crunches in a day. And god no, you dont do crunches every day. Muscle strenghtens and grows ONLY while it rests. Muscle actually brakes every time when you do something with it.
So, I'd suggest to do 3 times 20 REALLY SLOW crunches about three to four times in a week. It works much better than doing a thousand every day.
FYI.. I was doing some research. If it helps anyone, I found out the best way anatomically to do a crunch. Picture your body flat on the ground as a piece of paper. You want to roll that piece of paper up, same with your body. Start with your head and slowly.. SLOWLY curl your head to your chest, chest towards your mid-section, to your belt line. Come all the way up and touch your toes(if able). Keep it TIGHT the whole time.
Otherwise, as you bring your head and chest towards your mid section, bring bent knees up at the same time. Try to keep your arms straight out above your head and fold over knees when they touch. Make your bottom the fulcrum and bring both sides up.
Back down.. (one should take 15-20 seconds)
I always thought the more you do, the better so on and so forth, and I could do quite a few.. I tried these two days ago and I'm still sore. I could only do about 30-40 "good ones". I'm sure 100+ could be accomplished over the course of the day, but I'm not sure of the neccessity.. try it and tell me what you think.
WOW! I just did 68 in a row and had to take 5 minutes before doing the other 32. It felt like my abs were on fire.
Do you do all 100 at once or just 100 over the course of the day?
May I join you? I am new to spark and I think that a challenge like this is a good way to start.
I created a virtual model this morning. Does anyone know how to get her on my SparkPage?
100 sounds like a good goal for each day. I have been trying to do it. I am slacking a little and I am going to start picking it up. When I get to fifty or sixty it is so hard for me to push through.
New to the post.. Crunches/ ab work out..A lot! I "try" to do at least 100 per grouping of muscles(obliques, lower-mids-uppers, etc.), but it's hard to be that exact. Try doing leg throw downs in addition to your crunches. You'll have to roll on your side to get up, and try not to cough haha, you'll be hunched over until your abs untangle from cramps. It hurts something terrible, but damn they look good afterwards!
Help protect your mid section in fights too, if you're into that sorta thing.. Use the medicine ball in that case. Toss it and allow it to hit your belly. It'll make you keep it tight as you do your exercise. If you don't have a med ball, or heavy sack of something,close your eyes and have a friend constantly tap you in the gut as you do your crunches(not too hard though, duh!), it's pretty funny.
Everybody probably knows all this, but I'm at work and the more I type, the quicker the time goes.. Forgive me LOL!
