hey Ear whisper!
I haven't noticed the loss of belly fat yet. But, my face, chins and skin are much better. I am completely positive. My ranges are all inside the recommended amount. first week I had trouble with fats and calories. But I learned so much logging on, that it's getting much easier.
look forward to hearing from ExArmy and Brenda, when you on line. let us know if you need support.
No, I'm not in the negative zone. I am going to stick with this and lose 109 pounds. (Then I will re-evaluate.) Go everybody. Love hearing what's up, what's working, or what's not...we can help each other.
go go go!!!

Hello Losers,
Are we shedding the belly fat yet? Are there any changes in anyone shape ? Do you see a diference in yourself ? Has someone come up to you and said: Look like you have lost weight? Are you staying within your calorie range and making wise food choices ? Everyone at this point should be stabilizing their water intake of 8-8oz plus a day. Have you change your attitude to being positive instead of uncaring , foolish , or I can't do it attitude ? To answer those question "YOU" have to get in a "ZONE " and "FOCUS " on becoming the "NEW YOU"!!!!!! I'm making progress thanks to you all for your support. Each time I read your messages something clicks!! I owe this to all of you!!! Continue to keep moving foreward. "I KNOW WE ARE ALL PROGRESSING, IMPROVING STAYING CONSCIOUS-NO DOUBT IN MY MIND". WE ARE NOT JUST SITTING AROUND HOPING FOR THE BEST. WERE DOING SOMETHING ABOUT THIS EACH AND EVERY DAY . LET'S SHAKE THIS FAT OFF AND TELL IT- FAT DOES NOT BELONG HERE ANYMORE !!!! THANKS EVERYONE AND HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone.
Hey, don't worry about not checking in a lot. I get to the computer in spurts...sometimes a lot. Then not.
Last weeks "weight in" was one pound. I'm working on being satisfied with one. I am up on the challenge with water, and also crunchies. I also started weight training and am up to six minutes on the eliptical.
Feels like baby steps...I'm just working on the attitude that is satisfied with any progress. I'm still counting everything I eat, and if I can keep that up as a habit, I'll be real happy. Good to hear from you Brendann and Hi Army and Earwhisper and all...Keep going. WE CAN DO IT!!

But I have manage to get my exercise in and finally manage to do a calorie count. If everyone stay true to themselves our ideal weigh goals will surrender in 2006

Brendann, 4 pounds, great! And that is without being able to move much yet.
Well, I'm up on your challenge so far. All my water is in, I measured my waist, (ick) and I'm up to 25 crunchies, and I just started on the eliptical tonight. I got to 4 and half minutes, and stopped. baby steps (actually, I'm so out of shape I thought I'd croak.) I appreciate all the encouragement from those posting. Thanks.

| HEY this is brendann, Im the one that started this forum, glad to see yall. the drinking water and lunghes is a good idea, but that is something we have to do to start losing weight anyways, I think. this forum is called calories in and calories out. Sorry that I have not been on lately I hurt my back really bad and havent been able to sit up at all. Are we keeping count of the calories we take in and the calories we burn. I found out that even tho I am flat on the back, that If I breath in deep for 30 minutes I am burning calories,so I havent given up yet..lol.. I drink 12 or more 8 oz bottles of water a day, get it as cold as possible for you burn calories when the body heats the water up to run thru your body. So there are always ways to burn calories, and one way is to get the right amount of calories body needs, leave the sugar out for if you eat sugar or foods that turn to sugar then you are givening your body insulin and if you dont eat sugar, then the body is forced to break down fat and make its own insulin, insulin makes the body burn calories.. Make sense to yall.good luck everyone

| Earwhisper,I'm in. I've been better about drinking water, but a good nudge helps. I'll go for the complete challenge, even if I only do 5 crunchies every couple of hours (since I've been a slug for quite awhile.) I'll try to check in later in the week and see how we're doing. Thank you.

| HEHEHE thats kool. Actually that big inflated thing is a swill ball the other one is called a medicine ball. i use the big ball!! i wish i had a gym like that :( lol

Hi Army, It's Ferret...my husband is on line so who knows how this will come up.
I don't have a Swiss Ball, I think, but that big inflated one that you sit on. Do you hold the swiss ball while you do lunges?
We are turning the garage into "the Gym". That's why I'm starting on Monday. We finish the carpet today, touch up paint and go from there. I'm so excited.(Also, this was the garage that just stored "crap", for YEARS. Now it is empty and people at Goodwill are happy and My garage will now look like my refridgerator. Empty, then clean and then filled with items that are good for me.
This letting go...it's a good thing.

I'm really happy to hear from both of you. As you can see on my profile, I do have the support of my family, but I like the idea of having a few people to check in with on line. So, thank you very much.
I keep my food log, which takes time, so I agree, I don't want to go over every thing that I ate each day. I am just feeling really pumped this time, and for the first time, I feel like I'm going to succeed and kind of start my life over again.
Sounds like you are both going through changes, so we can all talk about that a bit if you want to. I know this is a public forum, so we don't need to get too personal, but I have to say, EX Army, you have been through alot losing your fiance and that was only two years ago. I'm glad to hear that you have met someone and have a wedding to look forward to. So, just don't be surprised if feelings surface once in awhile. It's ok.
So, I don't really have a "challenge" to suggest. Although I have not started exercising up to this point, and will be starting on Monday. I'm going to start slow, so I don't hurt myself.
Look forward to hearing from you two.

EXARMY AND FERRE, WELCOME.. I am glad to see that someone replied to the post. I have had several post on here and it seems that the post would attract very young girls that needed to lose 10 to 20 lbs to get down to weighing 100 lbs and then do nothing but talk about eating pizza, ice cream, chocolate, junk food after junk food, I was wasting my time trying to help someone that took losing weight as a joke. That is why I made this forum, I need to lose down to 160, when I started I was 233 and Im not 207, it has been a long journey, I have been down in the back all week, cant excerise yet, that is killing me both pyhsically and mentally. Im struggling really hard with getting this back healed and resuming the excerise, I had gotten from laying on the couch all day, to going back to work at my company and walking every day, to riding a back for 2 miles a day and then I got the biggest loser video( it is great, it is simple and real people,,, the best) I eat the foods that Spark suggest that I eat, and I drink water and more water and exerise., Im 51 til Jan 30 and then Im one year older ( heehee) Im from florida, I am here to help anyone that wants to the help and I will gladly take advice form yall.

Hi Brendann,
I definately have more that 80 pounds to lose. I have not signed on to a challenge before, but I am interested. I need you to know that I do not check my Email, etc every day, so I wouldn't want you to be discouraged if you didn't hear from me all the time. More like a check in, perhaps at least once or twice a week.
I gained one pound a month. Doesn't sound like much, then multiply that by 15 or 20 years. EEEAAAKKK. So I started at 306, am down to 275, and am determined to get to 160. So, I have 110 pounds to lose. Then I will reevaluate my final end goal. and 160 might just be it, because i am not a spring chicken.
Let me know what kind of challenge you have in mind. I look forward to your reply. Good luck!!PS, I am happy.
