Hey all, count me in. I have gotten off track since spraining my ankle (a breaking a bone in the foot). But the walking cast is off and I am back! Today I got in weights for the first time in 6 weeks, yesterday I did cardio and am redy to go.

So my goal for the new year is 199. I will weigh in on Mondays.

My final weigh in for this challenge...208.5, so I have lost 7.5 lbs over the holidays...not made my goal of 205, but I'm getting there.

Well I was off by 2 pounds but I'm still pleased! We all did well! IMO we all attempted by becoming a part of the challenge! In the past if I didn't think I could achieve a goal....I'd never set one. At least you have to try and we all did!
Thanks Jamie for starting this challenge and helping us all stay on track. See you all @ the St Pat's challenge!

I decided to do a St. Patrick's day challenge since someone already did Valentine's day. But that's okay I think a little longer challenge will help us to see more results and give us all a great way to keep challenged. I hope to see you all over there and look forward to seeing all the positive changes from the group. This is going to be a great 2006.

Great job Melissa and Beckyjo, that has to feel good. I'm lower then I was this time a year ago, so overall I'm happy. I'm still down 28 pounds since starting this site and that is still a great accomplishment. Pam you only went up a little and considering they say most women gain 8 pounds due to the stress more then the food we eat, you did awesome and can look forward to our next challenge. Remember this is an ongoing process and we will get through the lows as well as the highs. I know how discouraging plateaus can be I get stuck for up to 4 or 5 weeks then I'll finally show a loss. It takes time and I really wanted to say forget it yesterday then I realized that I've come so far and a few pounds gained shouldn't undo all that I've done. I know that it's just a set back due to the fact I'm stressing about not being able to find a full time job. This to shall pass and I know I can get back on track and start looking for new goals to set. All of you have come so far and I know you too can do whatever you put your mind to. It won't happen overnight, but it will happen. Our next challenge I'll start on the 2nd of January and call it our St. Patrick's challenge that will give us a few extra weeks to work on our goals and get ready for up coming spring.

I agree with all of you! I am lower than when I started this challenge, but not exactly when I had hoped I would be at this point. I am looking forward to the New Year and our all reaching our goals, together!

Well, this is a little embarrassing. I'm heavier than when I started this challenge.

Considering that I normally put on lots of weight during the holidays, I guess I've made some progress as compared to years past. Well, on to the next challenge.

Pam

11/29 - 189.0
12/03 - 187.6
12/10 - 186.8

i'm at my lowest in 5 years and it is great to be here. I will probably fall short of my goal for this challenge too, but I will be lighter than last year and heavier than next year.

Good to see everyone hanging in there. I'm hoping to break this platue I seem to be on. Not letting it control me this time though. I have done lots of strength training so am praying I'm just in a muscle building pattern at present. LOL. Can't wait to weigh on Tues. see if that scale is going to budge or not. I have been good with my calories and getting my water in. Exercising daily too. The good part is that I am lower than I have been in 8 Christmas's!
Still am five lbs from the goal I had set. But am ok with that. I have lost and I feel better. That accounts to a victory to me.
Take care everyone. Becky Jo

Great job Bridgett and everyone else on their losses. You're doing great!!! And if you maitained and only gained a little you're still on track and next week's weight in could be the break through you're looking for. Keep up the great work everyone!
You can do it Sue, I had to schedule my exercise to make it habit. If you can maitain an exercise program for 60 days it becomes habit. That should be your first small goal then work from there. I will make sure to cheer you on. Melissa you can get back on track with this, I know what you mean about getting away from the junk after pigging out for the past weekend and then some, but we can do this. I already noticed I'm getting less and less interested in the junk and more interested in eating correctly and getting my fruits and veggies again. I feel better when I leave the junk alone even though I know it's calling my name.

Rememeber we have all of 2006 to get to our goals and we can do this.

Working on the fitness/cardio part now, not focusing on the calories, although I am watching every single calorie I eat and tracking it. I keep trying to pull away from the personal training part and then I fall down on the cardio, so I am putting my attention to working out and more of it!
Hope this works.

Sue

Well after entering my calories, I can see whey I gained a pound. I am back home now. My fingers feel like sausages. I need to drink lots of water, hopefully I can lose this pound and more next week.

Turns out my scale is not broken. However I don't know how truthful it is. I am sick and after christmas i haven't been eatting too much so that pound might come back pretty quick. But it makes me happy right now!

Sue I am right there with you and having trouble with controling the eatting. If you guys could even begin to see the amount of cookies I ate between Christmas Eve and Christmas you would be repulsed. Keep up the good work though Sue.

You are right, Tracy...it just disappoints me when I can't control myself. Oh well, a small loss is better than a gain!

Sue and Jamie Good Job!

No gain during the holidays is great. Just think of all those people who put five to ten pounds on. Not you guys!

Well, it shows when you "don't do really well" on calories and don't do any or much fitness!
Here's my weigh in for this week:
11/22 - 216.
11/29 – 214.
12/06 – 213.
12/13 – 211.5
12/20 –210.5
12/26 –210
1/ 02 –

I guess .5 pound is better than a gain!
