Hey there Dumpster friends! I now know that the "distance" measure on my elliptical is # of revolutions. So today I had 1602 revolutions -- so I guess that's equal to 3204 steps??? In any case, I did 30 minutes while watching Boston Legal. I haven't seen that in a while.

Ok, take care all... I'm sleepy

Well, I am a little behind on my posting. Here is my total for yesterday.
12/5=1.6 miles on bike and 2106 steps(

I am in need of 119.3 miles yet! My goal is to get in another 9.5 miles this week. That will be 12 for the week and that is good for me!

I will check back in after midnight since I am working tonight.

Have a great night!

Sorry to hear about your aunt Michele.

Sue that new picture of the little one is so adorable. I think I would just hold and cuddle Him all the time.

I run a volunteer food pantry and government commodity program at my church and one of the volunteers today brought her little eight month old twins. I carried them up to the office to do some paper work and OMG. My thighs and bum where hurting from just one flight. LOL. I truly admire all you climbers out there.

Things got busy last night so didn't make it on to post much. I walked 4 miles during CSI. Tonight going to walk during Charlie Brown Xmas Show. Though the thought of being outside walking in our current single digit weather in a snow storm isn't the most pleasant. LOL. But yeah means more calorie burn shoveling snow again tomorrow.

I agree with Sandra, good job Michelle!
And I am very sorry, Michele, about your Aunt.
I am having one of those I don't want to do anything days. I am exhausted, maybe staying up with the baby on Saturday night is finally hitting me.
Well, I am going to make myself do my back exercises, then I will force out some time on the bike, probably during Amazing Race...another of my favorite shows!
Take care all,
Sue

Good morning all. The gym was good last night -- I rode 10.2 miles in under 28 minutes which brings my total to 25.2 miles closer to Seattle.

Hope y'all have a lovely day!

Hey all... I just walked this morning for 40 minutes. I had to go to my aunt's funeral. She was like the family matriarch. My dad's sister -- she lived a full life to 87 years. It was actually more like a celebration of her life than a sad occasion.

So, it's good that I got my workout in early because with the funeral and the after stuff (repast, etc.) and a few errands, this was a long, long, day...

See some of you at the BL weigh in tomorrow! How long does it take to elliptical my way to the east coast? hawaii? LOL!

No personal trainer yet. The gym membership was a Christmas present to myself; perhaps I'll hire a trainer in March for my birthday. I figure that's probably when I'll really need one to push me -- because with my "projections" on weight loss, I should be getting to about the half-way point to goal at that time.

30 minutes tonight. Another 5 miles. 55 total. On my way to Washington DC.

I did intervals this time. ouch!

Sue, sounds like a great workout with the personal trainer... you go! (but not too hard or the red team might win)
Michelle, are you using a personal trainer too?

Hey there Sue. All went well with the trainer???? My arms are killing me too -- I guess those free weights just weren't really challenging my muscles the way the machines do. Getting ready to head to the gym in a bit with my daughter to get that FINAL workout in before the weigh-in on the HBL tomorrow.

I'll report in my mileage tomorrow. Wishing everyone a wonderful evening filled with the sweetest dreams!

OMG, Sandra...my arms and shoulders already hurt! I can imagine what tomorrow will be like. I will be lucky to be able to type on my computer! But since it is weigh in on BL Holiday, I will try one last workout on the bike. Probably not very long though...nothing I watch for an hour, just half hour sitcoms.

oh my goodness... i missed a boatload of posts!
so sorry...

Michele, how awesome! 5k WITH a stroller. i know from experience how tough that is! why don't you go by time on the ellip machine. from what i understand it's a workout equivalent to running, so assume something like a 10-12 minute mile?

Misty, i continue to be in awe of your stair climbing. you do more in one day than i do in a week!

Sue, let us know how things went with the personal trainer!

Holstein, 90 minutes! you go girl!

Shelly, welcome! we don't always use equipment. i just climbed the empire state building using my ugly old basement stairs (i figured they qualified as dumpster equipment).

Oops. boss is calling. i missed some... sorry. i'll try to stay more current in the future!

She actually didn't recommend anything in the meantime, she did say the yoga is fine. I'm quite discouraged now that I have to find a new form of exercise. I'm not sure what I'm going to do.

Hi all,
So, I'm a bit jealous that you guys can travel the world like you've been doing

My elliptical doesn't measure steps or miles... it does measure distance, but I'm not even sure what the measurement -- it's some arbitrary # in the thousands, and I don't know if it's feet or what??? Maybe I should read the manual and then I could convert so that I can take a trip to Florida or NY or something!!

I enjoyed Grey's Anatomy too last night, but I didn't exercise during it. My body is hurting in ways that it hasn't in a long time after that 5k. I guess I don't really work my quads that much, because I'm really feeling it there. Tomorrow may be worse, because I usually feel "hard" workouts after two days.

Michelle, I'm missing the BL too, and I also didn't see the first season... But it'll be back soon...

Take care all! I'm gonna try to actually go walk OUTSIDE today. Misty, what kind of pedometer do you have? I have the McDonalds one, but I can walk a bunch and then look at it and it has only registered nine steps.

Michele (or you guys can call me Mejai -- rhymes with TJ -- so as not to be confused with Michelle)

I enjoyed Grey's Anatomy and my ride...I need to total up my miles since we started. I am not sure how close to Florida I am!
I start today with my Personal Trainer...I am excited and scared.
Have a great day,

I'm going to see a doctor about my knees, so I may not be climbing for a while. I'll keep you posted. Keep up the good work, everyone.

Does anyone have any goals for walking/climbing/biking? It might be fun to see if you can get to a certain place by Christmas or New Years. I want to keep climbing, so I better see that doctor soon. Good luck!

I've tallied up my miles for the week.
Walked all of 3.84miles toward Port Aransas, so I can swim around the gulf.
I've swam a whoopin .87 miles.

Made it to Paige Texas on my bike 27.30miles. I stopped in to checked out the Historical Museum mad from an Old Railroad Station.

I took a cyber short cut to the Eiffel Tower, and have made it up 770 stairs, one third of the way there gotta try harder. I want to conquer Mt. Everest.

I hope every one is doing ok. I haven't had a chance lately to read. I want to catch up on all the fun.

WOO HOO, Michele, for going ahead and doing the run. You tired tonight?

Sue, I figure you must be exhausted getting up last night with the baby. Aren't you glad you don't have to do this night after night?

I'm going to ride tonight to Grey's Anatomy -- at least part of it. I really enjoy that show.

Michelle,
There's a short season of BL starting sometime in January...I heard it was a family addition and a different format, it ends each week or something like that. But I agree, it is a little of a let down, but we have a couple of really good challenges.
He is a cutie, just wore me out last night. I babysat and stayed up with him during the night last night.
Well, back to the game...go Broncos and Bengals!
