Yeah Jenn. . . you're right. . . I'd be deluding myself to think that was for a whole meal. I ended up entering the equivalent of around 750 cals for 3 ribs. Think that's fair??

I'm off to Aspen for a few days! Don't know if I'll have internet access, so I may not "see" you guys for a few days. Have a good start to the week. Jenn, enjoy your few day break--but don't go nuts. Plan to join me back on the wagon when I get back Tuesday or Wednesday!!

No - I seriously doubt that's for the whole meal with sides & everything - get serious girl. I myself am taking a night OFF. I made it to my pot luck & the last day or so have felt in much need of a BREAK. No, I don't plan to go whole hog for the next week, (like tonight), but we'll see how it goes. I may only need a couple of days off. I did exercise today - but only 40 mins elliptical. No weights or anything.

I'm entering my cals for today before I even go get the takeout barbeque, in hopes that the pre-posting will guilt me into staying at just this far over and not worse. Do you guy have any idea how BAD ribs are for you? BAD!! BAD!!! BAD!! I didn't know exactly how to track it so I'm entering a half order of Shoney's ribs and I'm just going to have 3 meaty ribs from our local joint. Hope that's equivalent--or even worse case scenario. You know some of the ribs listed in the data base are 1888cals for ONE serving!!! Can you imagine?? Do you think that's for a whole meal including sides and everything??? Uggh. I'm going to go chug a few glasses of Metamucil to try to fill up before dinner! LOL!

Well, at least your calories look really good. I'm looking at probably going over some tonight. It IS Friday after all, & I'm NOT at the pizza buffet. That 144 on the scale this morning was depressing - was already kind of depressed - real tired. I think it's partly due to overdoing it on caffeine. I'm trying to slack off at least a little today & drinking diet root beer this evening instead of diet Pepsi.

Hi Jenn--I've been in and out, but busy at work and my mom is in town visiting. That's mostly a fun thing, but unlike many moms/grandmoms, my mom doesn't come ready to cook homey meals and take over and start mothering and caring for the family. Bless her heart. . . she's here to be fed, watered, and entertained. She does play with dd, but that's about it. Hasn't lifted a finger to help with anything. Oh well. There are a lot of good things about her--I need to overlook this!

Good morning all:-) well i started off with a bang! As I said, i was on vacation the week before, and even with eating only two meals a day..( just the way it worked out)..i know i was consumming things i don't normally eat..like 100% ice cream..ummm..fudge..yummy..ok you get the idea:-) I was well on my way to sticting to under 1,500 calories..but yesterday i hit a wall. I just finished adding up my pts..and see i consummed 1,600..ouch. so..i did exerice for 30 min yesterday..and my work as a chef is grueling..so hopeing it evened out:-) today..am going to bite the buttet and try harder to focus. off to work out again. diana

Ok - I'm losing track or who's new & who isn't.
Sooo - WELCOME EVERYBODY!

Man - you guys who blow it with 1600 cals... & with PIZZA too! As Becky Samfrankie says, you should come talk to the experts, she & I. When I go for pizza I usually hit close to 4000 for the day. Because each slice of pizza has anywhere from 250 to 450 cals a slice & I often eat 5 to 8 pieces, plus a salad, plus spaghetti. So. You see why I am here at Sparkpeople - lol! I'm a foodaholic.

But anyways - for those days when you do hit 1600 or so, just do a little extra exercise for a couple of days - that should take care of it.
