Hi, Karen! I just happened to find you here looking for the BL Winter Meltdown Challenge. It just so happens that we have an opening as of today on the PINK Team. Please go there and introduce yourself, give the team leader, Megan, your starting weight as of yesterday, and start participating with your new teammates. I hope you see this and have a good time losing with the challenge. Please let me know if you see this, because I have no other way to reach you. Thanks, and good luck to you!

Karen, if you're talking down the Winter Meltdown Challenge that is related to the biggest loser challenge, it has a separate thread. Make a post there and I'm sure CruisePuppy will assist you.

Hey Lynn,
I was commenting on the fact that you said it was zero degrees. I live in California -- L.A. area... so anytime it's under 70, I'm freezing. So, when it was like 50 last night, I had a hard time starting to work out. Yeah, I can't stand watching people eat bugs and organs, and such. So, the jazzercise by me is near LAX...

Anyway, take care and talk to you soon!

Hey other Michele
I too am having withdraws. Like who cares about fear factor. How many ways can you eat a bug...0 and I don't care to watch people eat bugs. When does good TV come back? I thought they were doing one in Jan. I hope so. I think it is the group one. It will be interesting to see how they keep their team members movitated. I better check it out. Can you tell I don't feel like working? I had to drive to Milwaukee this morning and then I got a crap load of parts done so I think I got a workout in for the day. We have to work as a team so while someone was sawing and washing parts for me I had to keep 2 machines going and belt sand other parts. Lots of walking.

Michele 50 to 0 Where do you live. It's 0 here in WI. With snow. My daughter still walks the dog but I like it more like 40 to walk. I use to do step and I like Jazz better. I think it really depends on the instructor. The on in Burlington is real high energy with out wanting to shoot her. I did take a step class were the instructor would keep saying now pump it up little pumps and how are we all doing? Like she cared. She was so fake and phony that she deserved to be locked in a room with herself. Like I said I really like the one in Burlington. You can check out the first class for free. I looked at the start up cost and then add the $50.00/month single like $105 per family and this was my better deal. I got in on this deal right after I had my daughter for a gym: $600.00 paid off in 18 months $50.00 per year after that, child care included. I think I belonged for 4 years and used the child care everytime. Oh well. Have a nice day. I'm ready to go home. I have to hit the bank for work.

Sandra,
I'm gonna have to look for the sign and call the number. Believe it or not, that's how I feel about this one step class, but it's at 5:45 in the morning and not that close to home.

Michele, I don't know how to explain it but I used to consider Aerobics a workout, but Jazzercize was FUN (yes, a great workout too, but it was fun above all). And I got much better results with Jazzercize (probably because I worked harder without realizing it and was more inclined to go often). Geez. I miss it.

yeah Lynn, a few of us are still posting here just to keep in touch with the old group! I think there's a jazzercize class near my house, but I didn't really know what jazzercise was --- as opposed to regular aerobics, so I never checked into... ok, that and not wanting an additional cost LOL. ZERO degrees?!?!? sheesh! I was freaking out last night because it was like 50!

Take care all,
Michele

I'm really having a good time at it. The instructor lost 60 pounds doing jazzersice. She can move like I don't know how many extra joints she has. I think it is a great workout. The ab work we do is a killer.

i all I didn't know people were still posting on this thread. I want to report I'm doing goo but really have to hang in there for the next few weeks. Down to 129.o. This is a big step for me. My next goal is 125 which would be another low for me. I did get to 126 a few years age when I did the western racine county fitness challenge when I reach 126 but some old habits came back and I quit walking. Well it is 0 out today but I have been going to jazzersice. and doing well. Did I say that I don't feel deprived at all. This is different because this time I have made more life changes not just diet changes.

Hi Shelley & Michele -- withdrawals biiiiiiiig time tonight from no show. I was online looking for Season 1 and it doesn't seem to be available. Maybe when they realize there's a demand for it, they'll do it. So I did spend time looking at the website again -- at all the pictures, simply amazing. That was my motivation for tonight at the gym. Thinking about those awesome pics of all of them.

Sweet dreams all.

Cruise, that happens to me all the time...I like to think of it as so much knowledge that there is no room for anymore info and I overload.
Gwynnie, hang in there...you have come back from being down before, you can do it again. This weight loss thing is a emotional upheaval, at least for me it is! How's the knee coming?
Take care,
Sue

Hi Everyone!!!
So I'm just now logging in, and boy am I surprised!

I soooo didn't do this to "win," but I can't say that I'm not beaming with tears in my eyes. A victory speech, CP?? Hmmm...

Really, I could NOT have done this without you guys. When I started this challenge, I really felt like, "oh, I'm just gonna weigh in, and I probably won't really watch the show, and who knows???" But then I got involved, and the support here has been phenomenal.

So having said that... Yes, I'm am completely proud to have lost 22.5 pounds during this challenge and to wear the first Sparkpeople BL crown... BUT... we are ALL winners for being losers! Geesh... i'm really happy... and really speechless!

Ok, so about the show now... I really was pulling for Suzy and I thought she looked great. I'm happy for Matt though -- especially for his emotional/mental transformation! Pete did look a little "too" thin in the face to me, but hey, $100K was on the line... what's 10 pounds LOL!!! They all looked great though. Like I said, I missed the first couple of shows, so I didn't remember Ruben or Kathryn(is that her name? the one that didn't lose any weight) And Nick is a loser for not showing up... ok, maybe that's too judgmental. Andrea looked great... and she probably couldn't lose the same % as others because she didn't have as much to lose...

Anyway, I'm rambling now... I'll see you all on the holiday challenge! Maybe we can start a new one after that runs with the biggest loser Special!!!

Congratulations everyone!

Thank you Sue.

I'll Cheer for all of you on the Holiday one, and be your little cheerleader.

I wish I could have lost a little more before this, but Glad that I am 20 LBS lighter than when I started with the first one. I will stick around this site (I like it a little better than babyfit) and will be ready to get going again in Sept. 2006. (OH BOY, after typing that, it feels like a LONG way off)

Do you think Katheryn was just upset because she didn't loose anymore, and then to see everyone else do so well. I know I would be bummed out / depressed.

I wanted to e-mail Suzy and tell her how great she is. I thought she could come and join us over here, and see what we are all doing, and what we did during the show.

I must say that it was good of Kathryn to show up, anyway. Maybe she needed the inspiration. Nick didn't even bother to show.

The main problem that I noticed for Kathryn is that she said that she was going to do it all on her own. (The same for Nick.) No one can do this all on their own. If she had gone with the attitude that she would get support from family and friends, or somebody, she might have done better.

Congratulations everyone, especially Mejai, great job. I was right about the bloat on mine, stepped on the scales and back down to 175 this morning. Oh well, still ok.

Congrats Beckie, on the baby to be! I agree about Ruben and Nick...did anyone notice that Carolyn, who I forgot also, didn't lose anymore in the time in between. And when she came out on the stage, the whole audience got quiet...kind of depressing for her, I bet.
