Ttl: 10802 / 1543 average

Pretty close to the top there, but within acceptable range. My veggies were pretty bad today, but at least I had an apple. I'd like to shave just a little off this total for next week.

Not exactly a strong end to the week, but my weekly average is . . acceptable. It makes me nervous to be running this high on average, but if I'm moving to maintenance, I guess I had better be able to get away with this.

BUT. . . I must admit that while my calories are ok my nutrition has been piss-poor. Nary a vegetable in the last few days. Ugggh. I'm going to do better next week! I swear!!

Looks like we had similar Friday nights Jenn!! LOL! I THINK I did a pretty good job entering my night out's food. I try to overestimate--and hopefull that just brings me to reality!

Camille - oh heck yeah I eat more when I'm tired! That's one of the reasons pointed out by all Sparkpeople's pushing getting enough sleep. Which, by the way, I certainly did last night! Slept in until like 9 am today!

Beck - Yes, I didn't eat pizza, but had a small mini-splurge at home. I nibbled myself up to 2000 cals. Oopsie. But I burned well over 500 cals at the gym yesterday, so hope that helped.

Camille, I eat more when I'm tired, when I'm stressed and sometimes when I'm happy....

Lokey, your "blew its" would be considered some of my best days. How do you eat so low consecutively? What is a typical day's menu for you?

Jenn, good for you on skipping the pizza!!! You are doing amazingly well....no nachos....no pizzas....

I am over again today, but at least a controllable over: 1714. I definitely see a trend in starting the week well and gradually creeping up as the week goes by with a grand finale on weekends. I'm going to have to work on that.

We go to San José tomorrow to pick my husband up at the airport. A trip to San José always means frozen yogurt so I've got to work around that.

heehee - hubby & son are gone to the pizza buffet - without ME! Yippie! (I didn't eat lunch until like 4:00 & I was too stuffed to WANT to go) A trip to the pizza buffet always throws me up close to 4000 cals for a day. For one thing, being Fri night & movie night, I then also want popcorn & ice cream. Good grief. I mean crap! Pizza has 250 to 400 cals A SLICE. Then I eat spaghetti & salad & 3-bean salad. I am SAVING this trip. It will be my "Celebrate Fall" trip. The first Friday when the temp doesn't get over about 80 degrees, I'm OUTTA HERE! lol (food always tastes better in cool weather) It only got to about 87 today, which is a God sent blessing, because our compressor on our A.C. went out last night. If the guy doesn't come by with the new one tonight, we're all gonna go camp at my daugher's. God knows, she's "camped" here often enough when their power was out. Oh - & then this afternoon my dryer died. What the crap is going ON!?

But, back to CALORIES, I chose to not eat the pizza buffet, which opens up ALL KINDS OF THINGS I can snack on tonight. HEEHEEHEE. (I don't have any ice cream, but do have lowfat ice cream bars & popcorn! Yippie!)

Gee - I think I'm rambling. TGIF folks!

Well. . . if anyone deserves a little treat this week YOu do after your stellar performance on-goal!! But. . . maybe that's all the more reason to avoid a pizza buffet and close the week "perfect"??

Last time I went to a pizza buffet I forced myself to fill up on salad first--and all they had was really fattening dressings so I even went so far as to use the pepperoncini juice as dressing to fill up and conserve calories for the pizza. After that filling and pungent appetizer i was able to keep my pizza to just 2 slices and stayed in range. . .

Either way--ENJOY!! I think I'm going to DRINK a majority of my calories tonight. I now know I'm not pregnant this month so . . what the hell!

Sorry for the rough couple days LokeyJean. . . I know YOU think it's bad, but those numbers look pretty good to me. If you want to talk about real blowouts, you come to the experts. . . myself included--and I don't think Sparkles will mind me putting her on the list of knowing how it's done! LOL!

I may be headed for a big one tonight. Going out to a cajun restaurant with our Book Club friends. I've been eating lightly all day and hoping to keep my daily total to under 2,000, but. . . the best laid plans. . . . The "signature" dish is homemade mac-n-cheese!

BG. . That's the POINT!! We're all about guilt and fessing up LOL!!---and the morbid curiosity of just how far we can blow it! LOL! Don't stress--keep your sense of humor--and consider tracking to keep yourself "honest" and try to redeem your week as a whole???

Today may be my "blowout"!! Cajun food and blowing off steam after a long week heading into a busy weekend!

Oh yes - the football game got rained out - no nacho's within 10 miles of THESE lips. lol
But I did indulge in some canned turkey chili & a half a grilled cheese (2% cheese), & the SALT. That chili was SO salty! good grief! Ya know that 141 I hit today? With all that salt, I probably won't see it again for days!

Well, I forgot to add 1 cup of coconut water and 1 ounce of soy nut trail mix to my total yesterday. It adds around 250 calories to the total which makes me over....

Jenn. . . woo frickin' hoo is right! LOL! You crack me up! Here a big virtual pat on the back! Them's SWEET numbers girl!!

BG. . Don't give me credit for sticking to good choices just yet! Book club isn't until Friday! But I do have a plan (which includes a few drinks AND dessert)--and if I stick on plan it will be a 1600cal day. Over but not bad. The reality is that I won't stick exactly to plan. . . so in the back of my mind I'm figuring I'll "accidentally" get up to 2000---but that's ok too if you take the week as a whole. But thanks for the encouragement!

Samfrank, how did it go at your book club outing? It's great that you stick to making good choices.

Today's calories....1456. I was sure I was going to be over since it was such a crazy day. It was a pleasant surprise to see the total.

Yesterday was better, but I'm still not there yet....still re-adjusting everything and slowly getting back on track.

Well, last week I took a measured amt of strawberries in a baggie w/some splenda in it, & in another bag a half serving of pretzel sticks. (conserving cals you know). And I had a bottle of water & a soda in my cooler. Thank goodness nobody right close to me where I could see was eating nacho's. Only saw a few people going by with them - & one or two with CHILI/CHEESE DOGS!! good grief

Ah Jenn. . . knowledge is such a curse, isn't it?? The Nacho topic came up on the Diet and Nutrition string last week and I posted this awful bit of knowledge I found:

Baja's Nachos are even worse. With a day's worth of calories (2,000) and sodium (2,890) with two days' worth (39 grams) of saturated fat, the average order of nachos (made with steak, chicken, or just cheese) is worse than four Quarter Pounders."

Isn't that depressing?? I don't know how you've managed to abstain this long though--sitting in front of them watching a game!! You'd have to put me in a straight jacket and one of those Hannibal Lechter masks! LOL!

We're going to a cajun restaurant for Book Club on Friday and the website says they have "lite and healthy" fare, but I can't identify it by looking at the menu--and it's a mom and pop kind of place so there's no way to get nutritional info. I can always ask the waitress, but. . . I'm self-conscious to do that with a large group (8 people) b/c I'm the thinnest among them and I can imagine they'll be eye rolling or worrying that I don't know how to enjoy myself any more. KWIM? Maybe I don't??? But I DO enjoy taking care of myself and I feel better when I eat well than when I carelessly indulge--especially if I do so in an obligatory way, but really by my own choice/drive.

Anyway. . sorry--I got off on my own tangent.

Rats - I've been sandbagging for Thur. night's football game - was gonna have nacho's! I've been looking at other people with them for 2 games now & have not succombed. But I planned ahead for this. Now I look up cheese nacho's & find there are 345 calories for 6-8 nacho's. Let's see - there's probably 30 chips or more in there. That would be at least 1725 calories!!!! SSHHHHHHRRIIIIIEEEEK!!!! I - CAN'T - EAT - THAT !!!!! WAAAAAAAHHHHHH & AAAAUURRGH!!!!!
