Try searching on the topic of "Babysitting exchange" there are lots of folks out there that will exchange time watching kids if they get that babysitting time for their own kids.
If you haven't tried asking neighbors, do! There could be a young adult around willing to help or an older one who is bored and needs something to make them feel purposeful.
Another thing to try is a local church, there can be lots of folks willing to help. A church family, is just that a family/community who want to help you.

I would search for a nanny agency. They should do interviews and background checks to help prescreen then send at least a couple of candidates to you to interview.

| I have found myself suddenly in need of immediate childcare. I live in Prince George BC and I would like a live in nanny which I can't afford but I have no choice really. I am a paramedic and my husband is RCMP we both work days, nights and shifts without garanteed times off. Any suggestions??? Thanks for your help. A
