I just had my cousin visit me... We all hung out in the kitchen... lol
We chose our house because of the kitchen... that is where we gather...

I think that is going to vary with each family. You have to remember some people eat out all the time and never really use their kitchen. But no, that isn't the case for everyone.

The article about the kitchen not being often used. I question that because my kitchen is where I gather with my sisters and friends. My family room is the least used room in my home.
