Congrats on trying to get pregnant. That's great. Definitely see the doctor for some advice. They are a fount of info that so many people don't use enough. Both times my sister got pregnant she was on a program to lose weight, so it might help you to keep going!

Hi Rachel,
I would strongly encourage you speak with your OB/GYN regarding your interest in starting a family. Your doctor will likely write you a prescription for pre-natal vitamins and go over with you what you will need to do to ensure that you are preparing your body for a baby. Your doctor knows your medical history and will be "in the know" for what is best suited for you specifically.
Good luck with it all, Kelly

Thanx Jojo, Kelly and Bonar. Now i'm member of the BabyFit website. Thanx Kelly for giving me information abt this site.
Hey Bonar Do i need to check with my doctor before taking prenatal vitamin supplyment? I read somewhere like Pregnant Women Need High Levels of Folic Acid, iron and Calcium. I never check this vitamins in my nutrition tracker. I don't know i'm taking this vitamins enough or not. I'm also not taking anyother supplyments. I only check Calories, Fat,Carbohydrates, protein , cholesterol and sodium in my nutrition tracker. What other vitamins i have to track?

| congrats on ttc. I would say to continue to eat healthy and exercise like you are but you will need to probably eat around maintenance calories instead of the amount to lose weight. and dont forget to take a prenatal vitamin! The best time to do that is starting now before you even conceive. Good luck!

Hi Rachel,
Congratulations to you and your husband on expanding your family. If you haven't done so already, make an appointment with your OB/GYN to talk to him or her about prenatal vitamins and any questions or concerns that you may have about your recent decision.
Here are two articles that I found in the Resource Center that I thought you may be interested in:
Considering Pregnancy
Getting Ready to Eat for Two
You may also want to check out www.BabyFit.com (our sister site) to help keep you on the right track and keep you informed!
Good luck with everything! Kelly

Hello-
Congrats on trying to have a baby!!! You can still work out and eat healthy while trying. Just when you do become PG talk to your doctor about what steps you need to take. I know you heart rate can not go above a certain number, etc... Good Luck to you! I have a 7 year old and would love to try to have another. Have A Great Day!!!!!
