Three days a week I eat at my desk while working then leave an hour early to go to the gym. I wanted to find way to get to the gym without taking time away from my wife and kids. This way I get three workouts in a week and I get home at the same time everyday.

This is one thing I love about my job as a courier in a local hospital. I am constantly walking, lifting, and keeping on the move. If I have the hospital mail/chart delivery it is 2 miles each time I do it, and I am moving at a pretty good pace to get stuff delivered quickly. Some of the routes I am delivering medical supplies, so the boxes can get quite heavy, extra strength training. So, after a day of work, going to the gym(which is on site)is just a bonus workout for me! I love it! I also work some weekends as a ref at the local paintball field who's team I play for. So I spend a day running up and down hills and dodging trees, it's another workout I get paid for!

Has anybody else incorporated any changes in their normal work schedules that are practical long-term solutions to being more healthy? I've only been on the site for almost two weeks but already feel like it's helping me get back on track for being a bit more active and eating better.
I've added 15 minute breaks to take a 3/4 of a mile walk around the building/parking lot a few times for the last couple of weeks and it seems like a pretty easy addition.
I figured if people can take multiple smoke breaks throughout the day I should be able to sneak out to take a relatively faced pace walk. As an added bonus it seems to help regain focus and give me that second wind when I sit back down at the computer screen after coming back.
