I can't wait to check out flylady.net. I have not heard of that.

I think if you google 'staying organized' there are websites devoted to that with calendars and tips and stuff like Christmas card & Christmas shopping and so forth.

The only other thing I would add to what has been posted is that I take a calendar each January which is totally separate from the calendar in the kitchen (which has birthdays, dr appts, etc). The 2nd calendar is for home and car maintenance & is hung on the wall in the garage. I have oil changes, when to fertilize the yard, septic and hot water tank maintenance items and changing air conditioner filters on it. This is the first thing I see when I enter the garage and I check stuff off.

Then the next January -- a brand new calendar goes up! It is easy and I would be lost without it.

One thing I did before moving is dejunk before the move the next thing that I do is if it hasn't been used in the last six months it's gone. If I have more than one I packed it away or donate it. ( as far as kitchen and bathroom and lines ) Also I've learned to clean up before bed it's so much nicer to wake up in the morning and not have to face a war zone.

I love the Flylady I recieve her emails everyday each one gives me the incentive to achieve a little each day. Clean a drawer or closet a day and once you get organized she reminds you to do touch ups. Love it!!!

I am struggling with this myself. I have found flylady.net to be a great help to me though. The more I do flylady and her little baby steps the cleaner my house gets.

That will not deal with all types of organization questions but it will help with keeping the house from getting trashed.

And to keep me where I'm supposed to be on a day to day basis, I have an A5 (15cm X 21cm) sized appointment calendar from www.organised-mum.co.uk that I keep in my bag. In it I can make notes, keep track of appointments, do menu planning, write shopping lists, keep track of phone numbers, etc.
