| CAMPING SOUNDS LIKE FUN. I'M ACTUALLY TRYING TO START A PROGRAM AT MY CHURCH WHERE ONCE A MONTH OR SO A BUNCH OF GUYS GO HIKING, CONOEING, ROCK CLIMBING, AND MAYBE EVEN CAMPING. JUST GET OUT AND ACTIVE WITH A BUNCH OF GUYS WHILE FELLOWHSIPING AT THE SAME TIME.

I agree mac. You really have to be proactive, especially if you are going with a bunch of guys. Lets face it, a lot of our staples are chicken wings chips and soda. Bring a bunch of water and some crunchy veggies. Also pop some popcorn. Last, I don't know what you guys are going to cook, but try to limit yourself to one serving of whatever y'all are having. Good luck-wish I was going with ya. In Christ, Ken

I think your key is going to be in planning ahead of time what you're going to eat. Make sure you have a good supply of cold drinking water to help you resist the temptation to grab a cold soda. Major on the relationships with the people you're going with instead of the food, and if you overdo it a bit, there are always exercise opportunities around while camping. Get an extra load of firewood. Explore the area around your site. Take a frisbee and toss it with your friends.
I wish you the best, Mike

Fruits or raw veggies in a ziplock bag make a good late night snack.
I'm sure there'll be the temptation to gorge on smores or things like that, just try to stay as strong as you can and don't over-eat. A few isn't a terrible thing, just don't overdo it.

| I'm going camping for a few days with a group of guys from my church. I am worried that all my diet plans are going to go by the wayside on the trip. Any ideas on how to eat healthy while camping?
