totally, that makes a lot of sense. and my general strategy in fb is to put stock in the young guys tearing up the league, especially in keeper leagues but in general too.
i just got an invite to a "no-stars" league, where the team that performs the worst wins. looking forward to getting armando benitez or cristian guzman real soon.

| I think I was the only one there live, but with a small league the real pain isn't in the draft, it's in the middle of the year when a big name slugger is slumping and some other kid is playing his tail off - how can you dump one for the other? In a larger league, with more B-level talent on your roster it's easier to make that dump.

glad that you were OK with the move. i just got home - the family thing took way longer than i had expected. i can't believe that i commished the league and didn't even show for the draft. trust me, though, i'll be around plenty for the season.

I was fine with the move, I got the 4th team signed up. The McHughs are my dad's team. Mchugh is our dog's name.
He wasn't around anyway, he set his autopick and it was pretty obvious during the draft where some of his picks were taken.
It was also pretty obvious which team he and I root for.

| sorry, should have clarified that. i bumped it back for two reasons: 1) i had a family obligation that came up today; 2) since our fourth team just joined today, i wanted to give them a little bit more time to rank. if this doesn't work for anyone, let me know - i am happy to reschedule the draft or to make it an autopick.

Mickey - I agree TOTALLY about the H2H challenges. That's something that each opponent can work out for each other.
If we're doing a head to head league, we really don't NEED 10, but we do need an even number. I've had a league of 4 before (and it was really bad), I was hoping we'd pull 6-10 guys.

| yeah, that would be awesome - those are great ideas for challenges. we could also do things like whoever loses the h2h for the week does 25 extra pushups a day or something like that (or people say what they will do if they lose their h2h matchup for that week). anyone else have ideas?

I think it would be awesome if Yahoo let you customize the draft to incorporate some of what we do here. Top pick goes to who burned the most calories, or who stuck to their calorie limit the most days, or something like that.

One thing i forgot to mention - it's a live draft league, and the draft is scheduled for Sunday, March 25 at 4PM EDT. Check the yahoo fantasy baseball homepage for instructions if you have never participated in a live draft before.
If you can't make the live draft, no worries. You can go to your team page before the draft starts and rank players you would like to draft. Your draft will autopick from your rankings (or Yahoo's rankings, if you don't set any).
Good luck and happy drafting! Also, if anyone's up for some spark challenges associated with the head-to-head matchups, just say the word.
