I get tired of lettuce too. The other day, I made a salad with a base of green beans. Then I added tomato, onions, red peppers. I sprinkled a little feta cheese on top. It was really good.
I have also made salads with a base of cabbage, just for a little variety.

I don't know about all of you but having lettuce-based salads gets tedious after a while yet I know it's important to eat lots of raw vegetables to maximize the nutrition I get. To make things worse, lettuce is very out of season this time of year; consequently, I've been seeing a lot of greens that don't make me love my vegetables. What's a girl to do?
Lately, I've been making salads using alfalfa sprouts as a base instead of lettuce. I top my sprouts with cucumbers, tomatos, red peppers and whatever other vegetables and add a little bit of red wine vinegar and EVOO for a salad dressing while saving my greens (spinach, kale, bok choy) for cooked dishes like curry.
