Almonds are a good suggestion, I have about 10-12 almonds every time I have a piece of fruit. It makes a very big difference in how filling the fruit is as well as how long it keeps me satisfied

| Try eating a handful of almonds and drinking a bottle of water. The fat and protein should fill you up, as well as the liquid filling up your belly. I have the same problems and this helps me.

Raw Carrots are good right from the fridge after work. Take your time eating one and that'll be your snacking done :)

JOGGER, how about having fruit in the fridge and snacking on that? Or, do something right after you come in, and promise yourself that you'll snack afterwards?
Just some idle thoughts - hope you find something that works!

| from the title of the thread I thought you were going to talk about the time between the end of work and dinner. That is where I wasted so many calories. I'd sometimes be stuffed from snacking by the time I sat down for dinner...then I'd eat a big dinner. I guess I've always had that "after school snack" mentality.

by the time we eat dinner and clean up it's about 7:30 or 8. So, getting to about 9pm is no problem. I guess as a compromise to myself, I eat a non-fat, light yogurt every night at 9pm. It's kinda my dessert. If I'm in the mood to munch earlier it's a bit easier b/c I can tell myself that I only have to wait until 9 and then it keeps me pretty satisfied until I go to bed.

Hard one to overcome. Some "simple" suggestions:
When you feel hungry, drink some water. Hopefully it will help fill you up.
Or
Brush your teeth early in the evening. I know I don't like eating anything when I've brushed my teeth.
Otherwise I gotta just say keep trying with the will power.

Ok, heres the situation: I can get up, eat three meals a day, couple of snacks between and everything is fine. I can also eat breakfast, and then not eat anything until dinner time and everything is fine. The problem I have is binging at night.....whether I've eatean during the day or not, the temptation to binge is still there. Now, I have tried getting my mind off of food, working out longer, etc, but still the desire to binge is still there . If I could, I would padlock the fridge and pantry....maybe I should.....any suggestions to overcoming this dilema?
