I'll have to admit that when I started adding more fruits to my diet, the gas came shooting down the pipe!!! LOL...
Not the smelly kind though...just a squeaker here and there that I never dealt with before. Guess there are drawbacks to eating healthy! LOL

Lady Bribeck, welcome to the conversation. You inspired me to do some research. For those of you interested, Ben Franklin wrote a book, "Fart Proudly". Which may be the solution.
There are sugars in beans that we cannot digest, and this causes some of the gas. Fart causing foods such as corn, bell pepper, cabbage, milk, eggs, bread, beer and raisins. It's a fact of life!

Hahhahahha, good responses everyone. Hope this doesn't gross anyone out but sometimes, my Hubby and I make it a friendly competition. :) DISCLAIMER: I grew up with all guys so I can spit, fart and burp with the best of you!
OH- and water... lots of water to help you with that issue. If you have just started eating more veggies, or more meat than you are used to, it always takes a bit for your body to get used to.

I have a funny story about dropping one in the grocery store. It was late and the wife wanted something so we went out together and picked it up.
While we were there, in a empty aisle, I let loose.
About 5 seconds later, wouldn't you know a rather attractive mother and her child come up that aisle. I had started meandering away with my wife and I heard something that I still laugh about.
The mom says to her kid, "Wow Ricky, you must've eaten something rough tonight!"

Loghouse,
You have got one hell of a woman.

Oddly enough in my house, my wife is the one who drops room clearing, eye watering, foggy bombs that have very impressive "hang time" and seem to leave a tinge in the air. They're often worse than the dog's. Funny thing is, she avoids veggies, while I load up on 'em. Go figure.
BTW, she thinks it's amusing to drop one in the grocery store aisle and then look at me . . . nice.

I too thought this was about gas prices. I wish I could command $2.24 per gallon of MY gas.
I don't know what kinds of food do it, but I've also heard broccoli is one of the major culprits.

And I tought you wanted to talk about gasoline prices.
The other gas I think is inevitable to have when you are eating lots of veggies, one thing I did before I started my diet was to have a colon cleansing, I believe it help me not to be so terribly stinky, the gas did not go away but it just does not stink as bad. I think is worth a try if you don't want to be put out of the bed.

if you're upping your fiber intake, you gotta up your water too, otherwise you'll be fouling up the joint all the time. also, dairy consumption can really help you clear a room.
nasty gas is but one of a host of things i hate about broccoli. it might be the only thing that Bush Sr. and I have in common.

Are you eating too much Broccoli?
Broccoli? Newman you wouldn't eat broccoli if it was deep fried in chocolate sauce!
Newman: [after spitting out a piece of broccoli] VILE WEED!

| I hear ya man sometimes my wife even makes me go in the bathroom to blow one off
|
|
|
|
| Well what are you eating? Veggies will give you a fair amount of gas that stinks. You may want to look for something called Beano. That's supposed to cut down gas production

Ok Guys I'm posting it here cause it's mostly men reading these (I hope).
I have been having the worst gas every every day for about a week to 10 days. I have been popping gas-ex like they are tic-tacs.
My wife is about to kick me out of the house. Any other suggestions besides gas-ex??
