| oh, I totally agree with all of you guys! I absolutely love coffee. I've tried giving it up for a week or so here and there, but it's so hard! Just a couple of days ago, I bought a small espresso maker, so I use one cup of soymilk and espresso for my coffee. I normally limit it to one cup a day and count it as one of my dairy servings for the day. I say, as long as you count the calories and find a way to work it into your day, you're okay.

1/2 Caff, brewed at home. I use Coffee Mate Liquid low fat to flavor. I would much rather brew it at home than go to a coffee house. Too expensive and usually too strong for me.

| Green tea drinker here. I LOVE the smell of coffee, just can't drink it. Never did. I suppose if I put enough cream and sugar in it, I could, but then you wouldn't be a coffee lover, would you?

I started drinking it black. Saturday and Sunday I use creamer. I used to be a 10-12 cup a day person, but now I drink a couple and I've added green tea to my daily routine. green tea has some great health benefits and will actually help your body burn fat. What a great excuse to drink a caffinated beverage, mmm? There's an article on spark about green tea too, just type in "green tea" into the search.

Count me in the "hands off my coffee" group! I've tried giving it up in the past, but I've always ended up going back. A girl's gotta have some fun!
First thing in the morning, I make it with a cup of 1% milk. In the winter I drink it hot, and in the summer, icy cold. It's a way of sneaking milk into my diet and making myself "eat" something in the morning. Then I eat the rest of my breakfast at work.

| I like coffee black with no sugar and I do not care about the amount of calories it contains as it is not so much!

Coffee smells so wonderful brewing. It's definately a hands off my diet item! I'd give up many things before I'd give up my black brew

I'm another one who is unwilling to give up coffee. It by itself isn't a big calorie item, it's the accessories that getcha. I've looked at chemical cow, and whatnot but it has about the same calories as the real deal with less nutritional value.
I took out the sugar, and replaced it with Splenda. There was about 33 calories in the 2 teaspoons of sugar that I would normally use per coffee. If I have 3 cups (which is more than likely the case) that's 100 calories! (and then some, cuz I certainly don't have a "teaspoon" at the coffee maker.) Thats 100 calories that I can use elsewhere!!! I use half & half sparingly. I figure on an ounce per cup. My morning coffee ritual ends up being about 150 calories or so.

| I agree with drinking it black, although it's not for everyone. Maybe just putting a smidge of skim milk and eliminating sugar? Limiting your intake to 2-3 cups per day helps. New studies are showing that coffee isn't nearly as dehydrating as we thought, either! Anyway, I totally feel you. Coffee keeps me alive!

I have always liked black coffee - but was of the mistaken impression it was zero calories! I had no idea there were seven calories!
To me - it's worth the seven calories per cup (x 3-4 mugs!) to get my morning started without bodily harm to myself - or anyone else.
I do agree that it dehydrates - so I aim to drink a glass of water BEFORE I start drinking my a.m. coffee (and it DOES make you feel better) - and once I'm done with coffee, I grab my water bottle.

I started drinking mine black...I've trying to limit myself to 2 cups a day,but have a lot of work to do on that one. I'm still a work in progress LOL Black coffee only has 7 calories, but I try to remember that it will also dehydrate me
