I have to write down everything on my mind when I try to go to sleep. It has no become a habit, I hop in bed and then grab my notebook that I keep by my bed and write down anything that is on my mind. That way I know it will be there in the morning and I can deal with it then.

I too couldn't sleep because I would wake up and start thinking about yesterday, today, etc. I tried exercise, stretching, journaling before bed, relaxation tapes, etc. I finally bit the bullet and tried a sleeping pill. Lunesta. It cured my "monkey brain" and gives me a great night. I'm able to pop out of bed at 5AM to get my morning exercise in before work.
It's a trade.
I hate putting drugs in, but it gives me a healthier body in the end.

Try staying within your calorie range. Also, daytime fatigues is often linked to dehydration. Be sure you are drinking your water.

when I stretch it's almost like I'm meditating. I try to completely clear my mind which I'm usually able to do.
It really does help, especially after a long day of chasing kids lol

Thanks VTWINVILLAIN. The wine would work for sure, but I'm afraid of wine. It ramps up my appetite and one glass of wine typically leads to more. For now I feel better staying away from it while I'm making this new lifestyle.......permanent!

Wow am I ever dragging this morning. I'm so tired!

I think I know why. I was 150 calories too low yesterday. Agghhh!

I also had alot of trouble getting to sleep. I drank an herbal Night Night tea in the evening...still couldn't sleep.
