I agree with Bobby. I have six children (four still living at home) plus hubby. Children are healthy but hubby needs to lose weight more than I do. However, his "definition" of eating healthy is way different than mine. Anyway, I have found that it is truly easiest to prepare two meals. You can still control and tailor their meals to be on the more healthy side, but don't go so overboard that they freak out. Yes, it's a little extra work but it saves so much grief and frustration later. Hey, you can even throw in a dessert sometimes as long as it's light. My families favorite was when I took two 100 calorie packs of the oreos and crushed them up. I divided them in the bottom of six dessert cups and topped it with sugar free/fat free cheesecake pudding. Then, I topped it with some fruit. It looks like little individual cheesecakes but only had 125 calories each.
Be creative with your meals. Pretty soon the fresh, delicious aromas will have them questioning what your eating. They will come around.

My suggestion: Two meals...one for those in the family who are not over-weight and another for those who are.
Read every SPARKPEOPLE nutrition article, stick to lean meat, fish, fresh veggies and fruits..
Come on, ya gotta win this time!!!!!!!!!!

I have four children plus us two adults and I know where you are coming from.
I have learned to just keep making things and let them try them or not.

There are several recipes listed in the Resource Center if you haven't had a chance to browse through them. I know it can be a struggle sometimes with finding something for everyone but hang in there! The recipes in there are really good for you and full of flavor (no one has to know that your food choices are healthier ones!)

I am so fed up with my weight and I want to make a change! It is just so difficult to be able to find something that my whole family will eat. It seems that I always need to prepare a meal for myself alone, one for hubby, and a different meal for the kids! I'm searching for recipes that a whole family will like. My husband will only eat corn and green beans and my kids...well...I'm lucky if I can get them to eat a hot dog!
Any suggestions?
