I know what you mean my 4 year old does the same thing but if I put her in time out for always not listening. she would have a new home. lol. and she does listen though when her bigger sister isnt around.hmm. Time outs dont work with her either but they worked with the 9 year old and I never had to put the older one in time outs though not til now but i dont know if I should be doing that to a 9 year old though.

Yes, my son is in timeout multiple times a day. He is autistic though and not easy to compare to another child.
My daughter only has to have a time out maybe once a week. It is really effective for her.

I never had to discipline my first child. Shes the second and she is soo dont like to listen I dont know what I did wrong between the two that one dont listen and the other does. She listens to other people jsut not me. she only listens when she wants something or when shes in a good mood. Shes the one that makes me want to pull my hair out.haha . Do you put him in time out everyday if they dont listen?

You have to stick with it for awhile. I would say you won't have a good idea if it will work for at least a week. kids will resist! I put my kids in for 1 minute for each year of their age. So, my son goes for 4 mins, and my daughter for 2.

How long do you put them is time out. Yesterday I put them on time out also but I put her for along time. Then she does it again later so I dont think that is working. I think I got a monster. lol

We use time-outs. My kids hate being in time-out. I am very consistent with it. They get sent to time-out for something I have already told them not to do, or something they have already been in trouble for. My son is Autistic, and it even works for him mostly.

Hi I have a 4 yrs old daughter and sometimes she doesnt listen. She thinks she the boss.I tell her that she has to listen to me and that she isnt the boss but you know how kids are. So my question is how or what do you do for disciplining?
