Thanks a million for all the advice, Ive lost 1 lb this wk and 3.5 the wk before so I think I'll either go somewhere healthy or practice portion control

a couple of suggestions,
When my husband was on a low sodium diet, our favorite chinese resturant would steam up chicken and veggies whith no sauce for him. you could ask if they could do something like that.
2nd. if you have the self control, use this meal as a change to practice and learn portion size/control. split a meal with your friend, or take home half (or more)

Okay, American versions of Chinese foods are very high in calories. Your best bets are their soups, egg drop, wonton, and hot and sour are all relatively good. Choose plain rice, usually all they have is white. Get steamed options and avoid fried and heavily sauced items. Steamed broccoli with chicken or beef is a better option than most.

Something not fried... maybe a sauteed veggie or chicken dish with a small amount of steamed rice (brown if they offer it).
Or you suggest a new restaurant to your friend and that could be your thing... you'll try a new place every Sunday. Just a thought!

| Ive come across a problem in loosing my weight! Every sunday me and my mate usually go for a chinese meal, I dont want to let her down but I also dont wanna sabotage all the good work Ive done during the week. Does anyone know any food that isnt so unhealthy in a chinese funny question I know but usually I have fried rice and the lot :(
