Baked goods and CHOCOLATE. I did some baking a few days ago so we have a lot of homemade Goodies hanging around, plus the gift of choice this holiday seems to be some kind of chocolate/baked good/unhealthy edible item. I haven't done so well today, I had several small cookies plus several pieces of chocolate. I will have to be a little tougher on myself tomorrow.

My biggest weakness I think has to be Nanaimo Bars. Love them. Thank goodness I don't make them!!!

My biggest temptation is CHOCOLATE. There, I've said it - now I just have to try to avoid the stuff. Chocolate is everywhere I go in huge, binge-sized packaging. Dammit! Haven't had any today which is great!

I'm going with the majority here. It has to be the baked goods.

Baked goods.

I DREAD holiday parties because I have yet to develop will power to stay far far away from the dessert table.

Tomorrow is our office party and looking at the side dishes people are bringing it's all....sweets.

I'm taking a pot of black bean soup.

I am not a big sweet eater. I like the meat. My biggest temptation will be mashed potaters and gravy and of course overdoing it on the meats...turkey, ham, roast beef etc.

However, I plan to eat before I go so when I get there I just nibble a little....staying under 500 calories....can be done.

I dont know what to do with them....they look so good, I hate to trash them...but if they are in the house...they call out to me!!

-anything that's sweet, filled with tons of sugar, chocolate...any candy...pastry and junk like chips
I love sugar and chocolate mainly. I gained some weight already, but I am staying put at this weight, now. I have to begin to watch now, carefully, since the foods I love are all out. If I focus on my Sparks program, and I don't give it up by succumbing to emotional eating, I'll do okay! Have a blessed day everyone!

I have a lot of food memories linked to my childhood, and since I lost my mom 7 years ago, they have become increasingly significant around the holidays. I make pumpkin pie, persimmon cookies, and turkey and dressing using her recipes.
What I'm going to work on this year is tasting and savoring, rather than eating as much as I can because I know I won't see these things until next year.

Chalissa, try bringing in healthy foods too. I've found that grapes are a huge hit because they are easy to pluck and eat while at work. Also, instead of the sweets, try mixing it up with salty healthy foods too...maybe a 'smart chex mix'?

I don't really celebrate the holidays this time of year, but there are a ton of temptations to resist at work. Today the "goodies" in the break/lunch room all day included a chocolate christmas log cake, 2 dozen assorted donuts, a platterful of cookies from a local bakery. I managed to not touch a thing...but it's hard!
