| I slip up in one way or another all the time. I'm just going to have to jump right back into the healthy lifestyle way that I know and make things right again. You can do this!

Well you should be able to lose five pounds by New Years if you make a plan and stick to it. If you find it impossible now then just start adopting some new healthier habits. If you do that slowly then you soon will start seeing weight loss. Some people are motivated to jump right in and do it, others do better if they adopt their new habits slowly. Remember you aren't looking for a quick fix, you are looking at a lifestyle change.
One night of excess drinking should not ruin anyone's lifetime of healthy habits. We are all human and I'm sure there will be days I splurge on food and / or alchohol but that doesnt' mean overall I'll abandon my healthier choices.
Good luck.

Don't be too hard on yourself. Sometimes when it seems too insurmountable, I just aim to lose a pound or two, then I deliberately go on "maintenance" for a week or so, then I start again--so one week on, one week off, so that I don't feel deprived. During your time off, though, don't overeat and gain that pound or two back!
I know this is the slow way to do it but it is effective for those times when you just can't seem to keep it up for long periods!

| Try to work your plan one day or even one meal at a time. Try and plan in some cardio, I use FitTV which you can find on your cable TV. I fit it in whenever, mostly durning naptime! Have fruit and veggies ready for snacks and Drink lots of water. Just start slow... try one thing at a time and slowly add on to that once you've mastered it! Keep us posted on your progress

| Well you have to really want to do this to make it happen. I suggest you sit down & re-evaluate what you want. If you want to lose the weight you will have to buckle down & really stick to it. Visual aids always help - take a picture of you that you don't like & pin it up somewhere that you see it all the time & it will remind you of why you are doing what you're doing. I hope you work it out.
