| Thanks for sharing! I have chronic sinus infections and have no desire to have the surgery. I think I might just try this starting today and see if it helps.

| Both my husband and I have been taking cider vinegar every morning for years. It is supposed to be good for arthritis. I guess I would only know how bad the pain really is if I stopped taking it!!! This I am not prepared to try - I have got so used to it now the taste does not worry me, I mix it with half a glass of water.

I started drinking Braggs ACV a couple of weeks ago. I put 1 tbsp in a glass of water and drink it twice a day. I like the taste, because I like vinegar. I feel it's helping me feel better. My grandmother told me that drinking the vinegar in water was how girls use to control their weight when she was young. I recommend it for myself, I guess it's a personal thing that you have to try and see if it helps you.

| By the way, I just bought a new bottle of Braggs ACV (16oz.) for $2.69 at Whole Foods. I definitely like it better than the Whole Foods 365 brand. Even though they're the same strength(5%) the Bragg's one doesn't taste as strong, which is a very good thing!

I have been drinking 1 tablespoon of AVC mixed with water and honey every morning and using it as a toner of 1 part AVC to 2 parts water on my face morning and night. I have acne and its seems to be helping....It's suppose to restore the PH balance in your body...and flush toxins. I don't think I have been using it long enough to really see a difference yet but no negative effects so far.... P.S I have been using Braggs...

| Has anyone taken Apple Cider Vinegar Diet tablets? If so, is it different than the liquid and are the effects similar? Thanks!

| Sorry, JENC, I don't remember what I paid. I remember it being a lot though, as Whole Foods stuff tends to be.

Amiee,
How much do you pay for the one at whole foods? I'd rather be able to buy it at the store than have it shipped if it's basically the same as Bragg's....

Go to this website if you're serious about learning about apple cider vinegar. It explains all the sorts of diseases it can help cure, and whether it's okay to take the pill form, etc. This website recommends the Bragg brand as well because it is organic and unpasteurized. But it says that the others that are organic and unpasteurized would be fine as well. Personally I use the 365 Organic brand put out by Whole Foods.

The message board I was on said Bragg's is the best, so that's what I went with. I know there's a whole process in making it, so I'm thinking because they're one of the bigger companies, they probably have the most experience doing it.
They also weren't expensive so I didn't really bother looking around. I got a huge jug of it for like 13 bucks. Shipping was like 7 though, but it seems like it will last a few months...

| Thanks for the good info. Does anyone know if it matters what brand you buy. Does it HAVE to be a certain type?

| I've started taking apple cider vinegar for allergies. I've read that somehow it helps with the immune system and things that go along with that. Mixing it with honey does make it a lot better, but I usually just mix a tablespoon of vinegar with a little bit of water and drink that up fast. Come springtime I will start drinking a "tea" mixture of vinegar, water, and honey all the time. Eating honey made from pollen in your local area is like a natural remedy for pollen-related allergies. I guess taking a little bit of it in honey form is like a vaccination against those allergies.

A couple weeks ago I started drinking Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar. I did a lot of research and decided to add it to my diet, not so much for weight loss, but because it's supposed to have alot of benefits. Here are a few: INTERNAL BENEFITS: Rich in enzymes & potassium Naturally support a healthy immune system Helps control weight Promotes digestion & ph Balance Helps soothe dry throats Helps remove body sludge toxins EXTERNAL BENEFITS: Helps maintain healthy skin Helps promote youthful, healthy bodies Soothes irritated skin Relieves muscle pain from exercise
It's one of the oldest natural remedies and a lot of people swear by it. It's actually supposed to remove arterial plaque as well. I have no idea if it actually works for weight. I've lost a little but have changed my diet as well.
It isn't pleasant to drink, but after a few days I was used to it. I basically do a shot of it and drink a big glass of water after. You're supposed to drink 1-2 tablespoons 3 times a day for the best results. Some people make a "cocktail" with raw honey, but I feel it's easier to just drink it and get it over with!
I wouldn't recommend the pills just because I don't know if they're pure, but Bragg's seems to be the most popular. In fact you can get a book (I don't have it yet) that tells you other uses. Apparently you can use it as conditioner and all this other stuff. Here's the Bragg's website: http://www.bragg.com/products/applecidervinegar.html I actually heard about it in a myspace health group and a lot of people use it...I figured it couldn't hurt trying it and at least it was real people swearing by it rather than online reviews...
Hope this helps...

I had heard that it is a diet aid, but not sure how. I know that it ONLY applies to the natural stuff you get at the health food store, not the immitation stuff at the grocery stores. I think its supposed to be a metabolism speeder-upper.

| I used to take it and it did work. However, that was only because it made my insides feel like they were on fire and that I was going to vomit. I wouldn't recommend it, but that's just me.

I had heard that as well, but haven't talked to anyone personally who is using it....anyone out there?

| This isn't a recipe. It is technically a food though I guess. Anyway I was wondering if anyone takes Apple Cider Vinegar to aid in their weight loss? I read that you are supposed to take a teaspoon before every meal. It's also good for a lot of other things as well I've heard.
