| I am thinking about getting some as gifts for friends who have started walking at work. I'll check out the link. Thanks!

Here's a link to one that I've used with pretty good success. It'll set you back about $30 but to me it was worth it. You can even just toss it in your pocket and it'll keep a pretty accurate measaurement. Just be sure to read the directions and set it up right before you start using it.

| YES, THEY SAY THE BEST PLACE TO WEAR THEM IS OVER THE HIP JUST AWAY FROM THE CENTRE, AND MAKE SURE THEY ARE STRAIGHT NOT ON A SLANT.

| I had one that was highly recommended, but it was so inaccurate that I ended up returning it and never tried another one.

| The one I have was moderately priced and seemed accurate when I was outside walking but on my treadmill my stride is different and the treadmill vs. pedometer distance was different too. Dont know if there is one that will be completely accurate though. Good luck!

I have used a pedometer... I suggest not getting one that is too cheap, I found that they didnt work as well. Make sure you wear it in the right place and also setting them up is not always an easy task, you need to measure your steps to make sure it is counting accurately. Good Luck.

| If you still have the instructions, you might want to make sure you're wearing it in the right place. Some call for placement over the front pocket and some for placement at your side. I've heard some people say theirs reads better over the back pocket so that might help to. I know the cheap ones I got from McDonald's when they introduced their salads didn't work well for me but I've had a mid-range one that didn't work either. I'm better off with side mounted ones which tend to be more accurate with how I walk.

| Just wondering if anyone uses a pedometer? Maybe I have a cheap one. But I find that it doesn't accurately keep track. Sometimes, if I'm going down or uphill it will double the steps taken. Any suggestions?
