| Hey all, I know I keep saying it but here gores, today is back to day one...I am done with classes, finals, my fellowship, and almost done christmas shopping, now just to get the decorations up. But it is back to the good habits. I traded my scone punch card in for my final scone - blueberry and it really was not that enjoyable. so here goes...two weeks to new years...Here's to starting the year off right a bit sooner than the rest!

Here are my goals for the day: Cardio-2 hours of walking Journal-general writing Keeping a simple activity log Focusing on my meal plan Desired weight-145 10 pounds by New Years! Starting weight-155 Current Weight-152 Hit a plateau and yo yo'd, or I would have lost more...pleased with a 3 pound weight loss! The weather is nice all week here for walking! No snow?! I can't believe it...only 1 1/2 days of snow so far! Have a day filled with adventure on your path to healthy living!!

Hey all. So I don't think that I did too bad this weekend. I had my last economic development fellowship weekend nad the catering was awful so that made it a bit easier. BUT Saturday night was a killer. dinner was catered in the beautiful penthouse in downtown Denver and the food, I ate like a pig nad the drinks the wine was really flowing! So back to reality. I was not doing to bad until I had the new tomato basil crispini at Panera. I looked at the calories ony 420 cal, 15 g of fat...so I ate the whole thing only to figure out when I recoreded it that that was one serving and the crispini is 2 servings. Well I am still inder fort he dat at 1143, my minimum is 1200 calories, so an apple for dessert it is!
I better get back to my paper, it is finals week, ick!

Hi everyone! This week I'm getting serious about my strength exercises. I'll still do my hour of cardio-walking-of course. But, I felt much better, with my strength training. In the way, that I was losing weight easily, and I felt healthier. Have a great day everyone!

i am tryin but ihave been faltering. my new goal is to learn to say no and take this thing one day at a time. i have to stop eating the flour annd the pasta and the rice. im going crazy, i need to learn to say no.

I would like to join in here too. I just had a baby 2 months ago and want to get this baby weight off and get back into shape!
Delivery Weight = 199 Current Weight = 163
Goal weight by Jan 1st = 155 Lose those 8 lbs you ladies are all talking about :-)
*Workout 6 days a week! *Calories less than 1500 a day *Eat lots of fruits and veggies - get those calories the healthy way!

Is it too late to join? So I am back at it after six weeks of a walking cast, sprained ankle/broken foot bone...and a bit of resulting depression...so here goes...the goal for the new year is to get back on track and get down to 199...

well i lost 2 lbs i hope the scale isnt lying. but i have been watchin wat i eat and i went walkin on saturday and sunday. lets see how this week goes.

I joined the team! Hope we get alot of team members. I stayed within my calorie range. I was up higher on my scale-1500. But, that was fine. It wasall healthy eating. In the beginning the strength exercises really helped me to lose weight, and I am incorporating more into my schedule. Hello everyone-hope to see all the names on the team! Out for coffee in awhile! hi there, i would like to join this challenge as well. it would be a great way to start the new year. lets see..ahmm..i would like to lose 8 - 10 lbs by the new year. i just started back recording wat i eat. and just forced myself to go walkin today. so my goals are:
keep walkin 3-4 times per week weight train 3 times a week record wat i eat stay away from fried foods stay away from soda

Hi, I'd like to join in too. I just started. I would like to lose 8 lbs by new years. My goals: -Track all of the food I eat everyday. -Walk on the treadmill or elliptical for 30 minutes at least 3-4 times per week. -Drink water, NOT POP. Pop is definitely my weakness!

here i am again. sorry for being MIA but my finals are coming up and both me and my DH are pretty busy writing papers.
anyway, my goal for New Year's Eve (Dec 31) is to get down to 132 lbs (i'm at abt 135.8-136 lbs). also some additional goals are: * stay in my range: 1200-1550 cal * 15 min stepper time and/or 30 min walk daily or at least 6 out of 7 days * 5 to 7 servings of fruits and veggies per day * eat 70% vegetarian!
i do recommend you to start a team. it's easy to keep track of what's happening and u can create a lot of thread wt our daily goals and/or challenges.
that being said, for Dec 2 my stats are: *1100 cal... i'm ok wt it as long as i go over 1000 cal *not very good in the working out dpt, unless sex counts as cardio LOL *225 grams of mix veggies and 1/2 medium apple...i think that should be abt 4-5 servings in total *i did eat chicken today but i haven't eaten chicken in 2 weeks.

I am interested in the New Years challenge! I have 10 pounds that I want to lose by then, and getting started has been difficult. Here are my goals! 1. lose 10 pounds 2. write in my daily journal keping an activity log as well 3.walk 60 minutes daily Glad to get started!

1. Stay within 1200-1550 calories per day
2. Walk at least 30min. per day on my treadmill
3. Eat at least 2 fruits and 2 veggies a day

Dec 3, 2006 to Dec 9, 2006
1. Start recording what I am eating so I can see where I have been messing up so I can improve.
2. Do one of the following every day. --walk the dogs x-tra mn on there walks. --get on my nordicktrac machine for 15-20 mn --go to work early to mall walk b4 my shift.
3. From the time I am up untill I leave the house drink 3-4 cups of water

Well I just got back from working out at Curves and I feel a little tired, but good. Trying to get all my kids to get done with their school work, so I can work on my own.
Thought about how much I want to lose by Jan 1st and I have decided that it would be great to be down by 10lbs by then. That would put me at 188lbs. That would be great!!

I'm going to follow Matalynn's lead and have weekly goals intead of one overall goal. Hopefully I'll be able to increase things over time.
Goal for 12/3-12/9: Keep track of calories/fat every day, post on this every day for accountability and support to the rest of you, and to exercise at least 6 days (3 cardio, 3 strength).
Matalynn - good luck with school. MsLadyShell - I love water aerobics! I've recently moved and haven't tried it here yet, but finding a list is on my to-do list.

Welcome everyone!!! This looks like we got a great team here!! I am excited!! We should all try to post are goal/goals for the challenge by saterday so we can start on sunday. And this is completly individual to each of us. For myself I will be doing mine weekly because I am still in school for the next 2 weeks and then change it for the last 2 weeks.

| Would love to join. Lost 15 pounds, started a new job 3 months ago where I sit at a computer and gained 5 pounds back. The worst part of it all is that we have a gym at my place of work that is free for the asking with all of the treadmills, stationary bikes, nautilus you could ask for, but until 2 days ago I haven't set foot in there. So this is just the thing I've needed. Good luck to all.

Hi, I'd like to join too - I've got to get some inches of me instead of adding them during the holiday season. New Year's Eve sounds like a great goal - much better than waiting around til Jan 1 to make resultions (and feeling guilty about all the food eaten in December). I have job interviews in early January too - want to look my best!
