Is there any way to stay on something closer to your normal sleeping schedule on your days off? If not, it might be a good idea to talk to your doctor about your schedule--it can be important to time your meals and meds right with some diabetes medications to keep blood sugar levels as stable as possible.
Purely from a weight loss perspective, it probably doesn't matter all that much when you eat and sleep, as long as you aren't skimping on the sleep or eating more than usual. Your body doesn't really work on a 24-hour day schedule, so your weight loss should work out OK as long as calories in and out add up right over the period of a week or so. But it is important, obviously, to work out the timing so your diabetes is controlled.
Hope this helps.

Hi all, here is my problem. I work nights, 11pm to 7am, when I come back after having a night off, I eat during the day of and that night. I sleep all night that night before then when I get up I eat my meals through out the day and then my lunch at work. I am diabetic so I am not sure how to juggle this without getting into a problem with my sugars. I am a type two with pills to control as well as diet. But I fail on the dieat part. Any advice would be appreciated!! Thansks. Earthautumn
