I wish I could live without one. My husband and kids watch way too much TV and I hate it. There is absolutely nothing I really need to watch. I do watch some sports with my husband when he wants me to. My kids are allowed to watch only dvds and tapes so I know what they are watching, but that is my first choice of punishment. Life is so much better without it. I just don't understand the mentality of having the TV on all the time, and there is nothing on TV that I can't learn elsewhere if I need to.

Mine is the only room without a TV.
Giving up TV was the best thing I did for weight loss.

Anyone living without a T.V.?

It’s been about a month since our one and only t.v. broke. I would say that was the best thing that ever happened to our family. I’m a full time working mother so I only have about three hours in the evening to eat dinner, do chores and make sure the kids got their homework done. Not replacing the TV has been the best thing I’ve ever done. I don’t know how much longer my husband can live without his hunting shows, I guess we’ll see..
