Slim,

I did my truffles today. What a job. 3 hours with melted chocolate!! I did really good and didn't eat one. I did good for breakfast and lunch and I am having that stir fry tonight bc hubby and I went shopping last night and I had a BLT salad at Cracker Barrel. I am not going to weight in until Monday morning so hopefully with all the walking I have been doing and really watching this week...maybe...just maybe I can get a pound or two off. I just looked at my Giant Eagle flyer and they have chestnuts. Hmmm, my hubby said he liked them once. Maybe I will get some and roast them Christmas Eve. I see cherries are also in the stores. Nothing I love more than sweet dark red cherries. We were in Montana and had bought a pound of cherries along Flathead lake and were driving through Glacier National Park on the Going to the Sun road and I was happily eating cherries and spitting the seeds out the window. About 10 miles of this at 35 mph and I realized there was a car right behind us. I kept eating the cherries but the seeds went into a napkin. How rude!

Everyday is hard but everyday we find new ways to make it work. When my family had hamburgers, I had a veggie burger w/o the bun or on whole wheat or light wheat roll or bread. The fries are always baked in our house so I had some of them in ketchup. No salt. I cook bags of stir fry veggies in a little olive oil with garlic powder. I cooked cubed up firm or xfirm tofu the same way and add soy. Alot of the days that was my lunch. Try switching to whole wheat pasta. I just made reg for the family and just enough for me for dinner and lunch the next day of whole wheat. For garlic bread I would spray 2 pcs of light wheat bread w/canola cooking spray (like pam) and sprinkle with garlic powder and garlic salt (a little) and toast in the oven. It was better than not having any garlic bread and that with a salad would fill me up for dinner. Toasted cheese is good with light wheat bread, ff cheese then sprinkle the cheese with garlic powder and garlic salt, spray the outside of the bread and grill. I had to keep it away from my kids bc they tried to eat it. I have a horrible sweet tooth so I keep weight watchers smart ones in the freezer (choco chip cookie dough sundae, cheesecake, choco fudge brownie) I also do alot of lean cuisine pizzas (the round ones) and the smart ones entrees for lunch with a salad and lite dressing. I can't do the fat free stuff. It just isn't right. I love Ken's light french. Even my family will eat that. I also buy alot at Aldi. Do you have one near you? I like their light and fit dressing and rice cakes.

I find that when I am really watching what I am eating I crave meat. I figure I am missing protein in my diet bc I don't eat alot of dairy when I am watching and that's why I crave. My family has learned to adapt to some different foods and sometimes meals w/o meat. My hubby says alot that a big salad would do just fine at least once a week for dinner. Jordan loves salad so that works. Just have to fix something extra for Punk. Got any good food tips or recipes for me?

Wow! This post is getting out of control. Gotta go start dinner. Have a healthy evening!

Hi. I've been so busy at work the past couple days I haven't had a chance to get on, so don't think that I'm dropping you just in case you don't hear from me for a couple days. I'll try and get on at home if I can but usually I'm so tired or Zachary is on his computer that I'm just frustrated. Ours...???? it's to slow and I get frustrated also!!!!

Well, I think you were the same weight as I am now, right? I feel like it is a hard challenge and I do get very frustrated. I am stopping with the choles. medicine because I'm still swelling. The dr. made me mad when I went in because she didn't really do anything except change it and the med that she wants me on isn't going to do anything for family history.
So, I am cutting out all meat and watching my dairy intake. I've done this for about a week so far and I'm starting to feel better. I really don't eat meat alot to begin with so it wasn't that hard. It was the cheese.

Oh to stay home....I stayed home at first with Daniel and I got bored. I'm not the homemaker type. It was a long three years but as I look back I did enjoy it. Sometimes now, I even miss it. I start work at 7:00 so sometimes it would be nice to get up just at 6:00 get the kids to school and take a little nap. Unforutnely, I never see nap time and when I do, I usually end up even more tired then I did before I got the nap.

I did alot last night but I also skipped dinner. Daniel had b-ball practice late last night and I had all kinds of errands to do after work. So by the time everything was finished, I was tired and so I just proceeded with the laundry and waited for Vince to go to work. then I crashed!! Oh, it felt so good.

I still haven't gotten the Christmas tree decorated. I'll have to send you some pictures. Zachary cut it down himself, which is a chore because it required elbow grease. He did a good job. Daniel lugged it back to the checkout counter. So, the tree is in our house, with no decorations. We've had it since Sunday. I'll try and get it tonight though. Daniel is having an absolute fit.
Well, I'll check in later tonight. I have to get busy. This is my busy time of the year, so it will be rough, but I don't want to lose track of you. We're going to accomplish our goals plus I want to see those baby pix's in the future!!!

Hey Slim,

I just wanted to add one more thing and that is that your weight isn't bad. You are at a very good weight to start here. If you were heavier it would seem like a daunting task. But you have a very realistic goal and I know together we can both get to where we want to be. I have been there and when it starts to come off you get more motivated. I was walking everyday and doing tapes at home, I had so much energy when I was eating good, it only motivated me to keep going and do more and the weight just kept coming off.

I am making chicken stir fry for dinner tonight w/rice. I gotta go take Jordan his lunch money bc he "forgot" it this morning. I swear "forget" is his middle name. He uses that excuse for everything!

Good Morning!

I had an ok day yesterday. I actually didn't eat as much as I should. I had a lean Cuisine pizza for lunch (which Punk helped me eat) and some carmel corn mini rice cakes and green tea w/honey for a snack at 3. Then when hubby got home we went shopping and didn't stop to eat so when we got home at 9:30 it was straight to bed and no supper for me. I did have some decaf coffee in the morning. Was baking gingerbread for a house and making truffle filling so I did have a few bites of that stuff but not much. This morning is much better. Had a fried egg sand on lt wheat bread w/slice of ff cheese & decaf coffee.

Hope everything is going good for you. I found it easier to lose when I worked bc I didn't have 24 hr access to the fridge and snacks. Since I was already in town, I went to curves or the Y right after work. Home when I worked was only 10 miles from town, not 22 like it is now. There is a little "town" only 5 miles from where I live but there is only a Country Fair, small grocery, small bank and a few other small stores. The whole store part of town is only about 4 square blocks and it is a one light town. Now most days I wear sweats so it takes longer to feel your clothes getting loose. I also kept a water bottle on my desk and I was the farthest away from the bathroom which was fine til I got prego with Punk then I was like a steam roller when I had to go, look out!

Have a good one and do something fun today. Fun is healthy!

Ps. I have to roll and dip my truffles and bake more gingerbread house pieces. I got up this morning and my hubby apparently tried to eat a piece of my house. I guess I have to hide it better next time. Wish me luck in not drinking the chocolate when I got it all melted!

Slim,

Your on with the weight loss challenge for this week. Although, it is the week AF is supposed to visit so I am craving chocolate.

I have a love/hate relationship with walmart too. It is the only store around here where you can get some stuff (it is a superwalmart) and bc you can get groceries there too I like making one stop. But, everyone is there, especially this time of year. My brother and his wife go to our walmart when they are up from Pittsburgh bc theirs has some not so nice people that go there and they really don't feel safe.

Congrats to your son on those soccer goals and the win! It must be amazing to have contributed to such a big win. On the basketball note, there's always another game but I bet this one was interesting. I loved going to Jordan's baseball games even though it was his first year and he didn't play too much. He has a great coach that played through high school and in college. He had some inj or would have tried for pro. Jordan learned alot from him.

Shopping yesterday kept me out of the snacks. Walked miles at the outlets then at the mall. Now I have laundry to do...let's see I have 7 loads that is 14 trips up and down 2 flights of 13 stairs so that would be...364 steps to climb. Better go eat my wheaties (actually special k) and get another cup of decaf. If I drank reg I would be vibrating up and down the stairs! LOL!

Let's go!

ps- the chapped lips, drink up, I get them when I don't drink enough and when you are in the shower and they are nice and moist, rub them gently with a washcloth to get the dead skin off that way they won't bleed then keep something on them. Don't lick them it makes it worse. I keep vanilla mint chap stick by the bed and put it on every night this time of year. I also cream my hands, elbows and knees bc I believe that is how you can tell how old a woman is.

The things that kids say. You know that's too cute coming from a boy his age. I would've laughed also.

You know this year and shopping, I have done quite alot of it on-line. I like getting packages in the mail and sometimes I feel like I dont' pay for them cuz it's a surprise when they show up on my doorstep! LOL~ Of course, I know hubby just wonders....never says a word about how much stuff was but I'm not dumb, I know what he's thinking! One place, I don't like going to is Wal-mart. I like it but I don't. Ours that is close to us doesn't have the 'best people' going there. It's always so dirty looking and busy. No matter what time of day you go. It's not a super-walmart which I'm glad, cuz that would just make it worse. Anyways, when I do go there I spend waaayyy to much money.

My lips are so chapped right now, they are burning!
I have vaseline on them, that's the only thing that seems to help, but I look like I have 'skillet lips' OUCH!!!!

We were busy this weekend. Daniel had his soccer and basketball game. He was awesome in both, but they still got creamed in basketball. 36-19 and Soccer was 6-2. They won the soccer with Daniel making 2 goals!!! I love watching them play!

Have a great day and my goal for this week is 2 pounds by the 15th. Anybody else with some goals? Chele-you can make a one pound goal and maybe that will help you....we can have some friendly competetion!!!!

Well, here I am, safely back from my Walmart excursion! If that ain't exercise, then I don't know what is! I got all my groceries, stopped at Sheetz and got gas then to Aldi to get the cheap stuff then Wendy's for a Big Bacon Classic and fries and of course a Diet Coke. I ate all my burger but only about 8 fries when Punk stood up on his chair and yelled at me "Mom I gotta take a crap". Boy I never got cleaned up and to the bathroom faster in my life. I could have died right there from embarassment but he is only three and some people did laugh! Then to top that off we had to use the men's bc there was a little old lady in the women's and another lady was waiting. After that we drove thru for his frosty then came home. I was afraid he wasn't done and would announce it somewhere else! LOL!!

Jordan went shopping with my mom then he is going to his dads so it will be quiet tonight. Maybe we will take Punk and ride into town to see the lights. I have a friend that puts up a huge blow up santa in her yard. It is one of the biggest I have seen, it is 20 ft tall. I am going to take the boys down and get a picture of them with it. Maybe I will try to post it.

Have a great weekend! Stay healthy.

I also did curves. I was there for about a year. I started out really good, and then I slacked. Just like most things when it comes to exercising. The only thing I have stuck with was teh Y. I did very good when I was going with one of my friends, but then she started having kids. since then, it's been an off and on ritual.

Well, just thank your stars. Mine doesn't see the light. But he does do that annoying 'mahahm' whine. I just don't know how it started and how it got this far.

Boy, I'm really tired today. Not sure why but I am.

I know what your talking about with the remote atari. We bought something like that from Avon a couple years past. Not sure what happened to it but we did have it also. It was fun. I forgot about that one. This atari is the actual system. The old time look and everything just half of its original size. I'm telling you I'm going to be kicking some as* on frogger and that alligator crossing one....Watch out boys!

Man that sounds like Jordan. He started telling me what he was going to do a couple of months ago and I turned around one day and said no your not. I got the typical "mahahm" whine but bc it was really something he wanted to do and I didn't let him and he knew why he has only slipped and done a couple of times since then and I just give him the look and a light goes on and he then asks. Chalk one up for mom on what seems like a losing battle.

I got my son one of those atari games that looks like a controller for a ps2 but takes batteries and plugs right into the tv and it plays 10 different atari games. Remember Frogger?!?! Now there is a game I can play!

I'm on my sisters comp at my moms and I was able to update my diet goals. Started again yesterday. I like the gym or YMCA idea and I did belong to Curves 4 years ago and that is how I got my weight off before Punk was born. I just can't afford it now and I have to drive at least 22 miles one way to get there. Videos & DVD's are my ticket now. They worked to get the first weight off at the beginning of the year so I'm going for it again. I have great willpower when other people are around. Just not when I am by myself. I wish this saying were true - If you eat something and no one see's you...it has no calories -

I am happy with how far I have come but I know if I put my nose to the grindstone I can get to where I want to be. Once upon a time I was 105 and stayed there until I had kids so it's not like I am wanting to get even close to that again!

The store on ebay is alot of used stuff but we also get some new stuff and vintage and antique. A little bit of everything. We have been selling on ebay for about 4 years but just opened the store a month ago.

Have a great day!

Oh my. That sounds like my son. In fact, he was just at the Dr. for a checkup and I was complaining to her that he has become more and more defiant-not mouth but just has started telling me what 'he' is going to do. Like for instance....we went to the Cavs game Wed. night and on the way home, he said he's going to bed about 1/2 hr. later, he wants to get on the computer. Well, we were still driving home from cleveland and it was already 10:15. I like him in bed @ 10. Plus, not to mention we were still about 1/2-45 minutes away from home. Yesterday, watching the Steelers game (YEAH!!!! THEY WON AND BIG TIME)!!!!! AND he told me he was going to watch it until the end. NO! But, we also tell him and talk to him and he will look us in the eye and say 'alright' and the next day he'll do the same dang thing. Back to the dr. thing....She said, this age (13-15) is when they really start testing the waters and think they are independent. Well, I knew that to but it sure is frustrating. They want you to do what they ask you, but it's not the same when you ask them to do it for you.

Okay, remember the Atarti old time game system. My little one saw it at the store and I told him that's what I grew up on. Well, he played it in the store and said he wanted one. I said maybe for Christmas. That was two weeks ago and do you know where they were selling them, they SOLD OUT! Flashback from the 80's! I love the 80's!!!!
I ordered it online from Atari.com and I paid $10.00 less for it plus no shipping! Now, that's a deal. that' also something I'll be playing!

I'm not doing better on the exercise. I still have issues with that. I'm waiting until the YMCA put their classes for the new season online and I'm going to see what they offer, and I have my mind set on joining one and finishing every single class. They should start sometime in January. And I also set myself up with a goal. 2 pounds by Dec. 15th, and 2 pounds thereafter. I've struggled a little but I'm ready to do it 110% now. Chele, if I could get where you are, I'd be happy. Don't worry, look at where you came from. Maybe after the holidays it might be easier for you also to get the last 10 off. Maybe there's to much tempting food?

What kind of store do you have on ebay?

Take care, and believe it or not...I'm going to check in before the day is done today!

Good morning Slim & Only,

Not doing so good on the diet thing or the exercise thing. I just can't seem to get motivated. I tried to change my strategy or goal and revise my plan but it keeps saying I need to set a date in the future (which I was doing) so I gave up. My ticker should say 133. I can't stand dial up connections. I have a store on ebay with my sister and I have to go to my mom's and use my sisters high speed connection to do anything.

My hubby and I had a talk with my 13yo on Tues night and he sat there and said ok, ok, ok, ok...does this drive you crazy? It seems no matter what I say he says ok but I don't know if he even hears me or if he just hears that I am saying something so he replys with ok bc he never does what I am asking or telling him to do. Venting...thanks.

Hope you all are doing better than me in the food and exercise. I am trying to stay positive that I haven't gained but it's hard. I am a little afraid to get as much into it as I need to get these last stubborn pounds off bc the last time I did it lasted 2 wks and I miscarried. I had just found out in the middle of those 2 wks that I was prego. I'm starting fresh today. Here I go...keep me motivated. Thanks.

Do something healthy for yourself today!

Good afternoon Slim and Only,

We have 3 cats but they are outside. I have a little shed with a cat door and they have 2 houses inside with straw, a blanket and the other with straw and a cedar pillow. They are all fixed but the 2 males won't let my female sleep with them. Funny cause the female and the one male are from the same litter. The other male was here when we moved in. The owners couldn't take him to Wyoming. They left a dog too but she died at 17 just 2 years ago. She was 15 when we moved in here. I would love to have a dog in the house but allergies are more important.
Got some stuff to do so I'll stop back tomorrow. Have a great day you two!

I agree. I can't stand that cat smell. We have one, luckily doesn't even bother our trees after the first sniffing around of it cuz it's new. But, I'm always nervous that he'll pee on something. Never has, but our old one did at our old house. The smell is awful. I'm glad this one hasn't, so far...knock on wood. Of course, if he did, I think my hubby would throw him out.!!!!!

We switched over to an artificial tree a few years back when we got dogs. They mark the real ones . The cats would climb them, but I could live with that--can't deal with the urine stench!

Slim,

Jordan's party went great. Only 2 boys stayed but I heard a couple say that it was a great party and they all had a good time.

I wish we could have a real tree but my hubby has allergies and we are not sure about Punk so we are waiting another year. This is the earliest I have had all my decorating done. Now I have half my presents wrapped.

I have been eating too much but the scale hasn't moved so no gain but no loss. I guess you can say you are eating for charity?!?! Right?

Going to bed have an orthodontist appt tomorrow, going to the newpaper to put picture in of sons 1st buck then to exchange the size 11 1/2 boots we got him for 12's!! He's just turned 13!! God help me!

Good night and have a great day tomorrow. If you can't eat something healthy, do something healthy!

You know when I didn't work, I did all that stuff to. And I was busy from the time that I got up until bedtime, which was almost right after the boys because I was so tired. When I went back to work, I complained, for one thing we moved into a newer and bigger house and I was working fulltime-which i started out part-time but lucked out with this job, so I took it and left part-time behind. sometimes I wish I could go back. I guess now, with both incomes I am to comfortable to just go back to one, plus the kids are older. That's why we ended up getting a housecleaner. And I APPRECIATE every little thing she does. I do not have enough time. I just do the main things, like laundry, tidy up but the majority of my time is running the kids or at least 1 kid around to sprots, friends, school, whatever. I get up around 5:30 and my days starts then. I just get Zachary his meals and take him to teh bus stop and I'm off to work. Luckily with my job my hours are flexible. I don't think I would be able to really work, if they weren't. I'm usually here by 7:00. I don't leave until 3:30, then the boys are home right after that. It's hard because my husband works nights. So sometimes, that's easier, sometimes it's harder. It depends on what kind of situation your talking about.
Vince is the same way, he'll notice something when I do it and always says nice things, he has also helped with the laundry but I banned him many years ago. That's just a pet peeve. When he gets into a 'cleaning mode', he drives me crazy which is only about once every 5 years....but he goes beserk cleaning things that probably haven't seen the light of day since we moved in! Yesterday, he did clean our bathroom-I'm not sure why though! I do think that he thinks I can handle everything like the cleaning, running, etc. on my own and we don't need a housecleaner but he does it cuz I truly think he wants to make me happy but most importantly, doesn't want to hear me bi*ch!

About the living stuff.....I live in Akron, Ohio. Boring little town. I've been to Pittsburgh a couple times. My uncle used to live there when I was little so I don't remember much but vince went to Carnegie-Mellon for college. We went there for a reunion about 5? years ago. Plus, we LOVE those steelers!!!!

I still don't have our Christmas cards ready, I would've liked to do a family picture but I think we're settling for just the regular plain ol'cards. And I don't have any decorations out. I'm really behind. Since you have that big yard...do you guys grow any trees? That's one thing I love to do. Every year we go, cut down our tree, eat popcorn, hot cider and cookies while sitting by the fireplace and looking through the christmas store that they have at this farm where we go get our tree. It's our tradition and even though the boys are getting older and not as itnerested in it, I still love it. Last year we took Zachary's girlfriend. That was different. That's all I have to say about that one!
The chrsitmas store has beautiful things in it. But, I walk like everything is glass because I think the cheapest thing is like $25.00 and it's no bigger then my pinky finger!

One year, and we have been talking about this for years, I'd really like to go to Ogelby. I think that would be very nice.

We were supposed to put up our Christmas lights yesterday and instead I came home, did laundry, cooked some dinner, helped Daniel with his homework, and by that time, it was 6:15 so I took him to get his pictures taken for B-ball. By the time everything was done it was close to 8:00. Vince was at an extra job last night so it was me w/the 2 boys. Not good, they don't pay attention and I'm a huge sucker! So, when 9:15 rolled around, I just laid in bed, and before you know it, I was out.

Well, I'm going to go to lunch, today we're having a charity fundraiser w/the proceeds going to the food bank. That's all good, but they are serving lasagna, garlic bread and dessert! That's a whole lot of bad carbs right there but I'm sure they are going to taste delcious. And like I said, Saturday we'll be at that concert so I am going to try and do my best.

Well, I have definatly talked everyone's ears off....I hope everybody is still awake!
I'll try and check in this weekend....at least by Sunday. Everybody have a good weekend and don't sweat the small stuff.

Good morning Slim & Only!

The way you two talk it sounds just like my days. I'm up at 6:30 every morning to get the 13 yo off to school then it starts...running here and there or else it is cleaning and never ending laundry. Yesterday I made breakfast lunch and dinner, washed the bedding and remade the beds (3 of them), decorated my entryway, put up and decorated the Christmas tree, made out 20 Christmas cards (they are ready for stamps), swept the basement, chased my 3 yo around all day and my husband wants to know why I am tired at 6 pm?!? Hello? I didn't sit down all day and I don't sit down and relax most days. I think sometimes he thinks I don't do much bc I don't work. Does he think he lives in a self cleaning house? We aren't the Jetson's! Don't get me wrong, my husband is great. He always thanks me for making dinner and helps clear the table. He tells me the house looks nice and notices when I do something different. But, come on, I work hard to keep it this way.

Thanks for letting me vent...again!

By the way, where do you live? I was curious bc Slim said she was going to Cleveland to stay for a concert. We live in Cochranton PA which is about 90 miles north of Pittsburgh and about 45 minutes south of Erie. My husband works for T-Mobile and is in OH almost everyday. He has meetings once a week in Cleveland and they have a warehouse in Ytown.

I excercised Weds and went bowling but didn't do anything for excercise yesterday except go up and down the stairs about 20 times bringing up the tree and decorations and laundry. Washer and dryer are in basement and bedrooms are on the 2nd floor. I am good food wise until dinner then I tend to eat too much. Starting again today but Jordan's b-day is this weekend so there will be pizza, ice cream, cake, and goodies. I LOVE ice cream. When I was prego with both boys that was my downfall. I could eat a full meal and still want and eat ice cream. Chocolate Chip Mint is my all time favorite but I haven't found one I wouldn't eat yet!! LOL!!

Have a great day, I'll try to stop back tomorrow. Be healthy!

It's the running around that always does me in as well. Last night I had to take my 17yo for a sleep study. We finally got to sleep about 11:15, woke up at 6:20 this morning. Waited around and met with three different people-left just about 9am. From there went to deliver a package at UPS (who wasn't opening until 1pm!!) had to back track to pick up carpet and padding....got there and found the same lino. I wanted for HALF the price--had to run to the bank for more money. Back home about 11:30. Made three phone calls, forced myself to go to Curves, picked up a subway sand for lunch and realized about a block from my house I have nothing in for dinner. It's now 1:35 and I still need to mop the floor one more time before any carpet is put down, take a shower, go to the store and pick up something for dinner and pick up my 15 yo and take him to the dermatalogist at 4:30! I'm only even on the computer cus I am eating my sandwich. It is sooooooo tempting right now, to tell my husband to order pizza as I won't be back from the dermatologist until nearly 6pm.... This is the kind of stuff that does me in, so I totally understand about the cheeseburger last night. Focus ont he positive, you had a single, and did not have fries and a shake with it right!?!??

LOL, I heard about my upcoming day off all week from co-workers who must have a vastly different life than mine, cus they seemed to think I would be lazing around all day

Both of my kids think they can order what they want, also. I have to say, it's probably my fault. I have led them to believe that because I didn't make great healthy, full course dinners. I usually would ask them or make them something and if they didn't eat it, I would let them have something else. I changed a couple years ago. My youngest adjusted, my oldest-another story. Now, if he doesn't want what we're having, I tell him to make his own food. He usually sucks it up and eats my meatloaf!
You look back at your life and you think of all the things that you've done. It's amazing sometimes to think where I am now, compared to where I was when I was 20. I also married young, had a child, divorced, moved back into mom's house and got my act together. I met my current husband and he adopted my oldest and I am so thankful for that. I honostly believe our life changed because he came along. I'm very thankful his impact on my son's life. I moved out of my mom's the first time when I was 17. If I had any word of advice for my kids....GO TO COLLEGE AND STAY AT HOME UNTIL YOU FINISH, HAVE A GOOD SAVINGS ACCT, AND YOUR SITUATED enough to take care of yourself. That's what I hope my kids do.

Vent, brag....whatever you want! That's why we're here. Sometimes, I feel like my 8 year old is more responsible then my 13 year old. I've been searching for a word....lack-a-dasicle? That would be him to a 'T'. My 13 y.o. is also very skinny but both my kids eat. the only problem is I don't think he eats very healthy. My youngest will eat anything but it can be healthy or whatever. They are both very active and I'm thankful for that. But, Zachary and that computer is a problem. It's like a never ending headache to me. I try to understand but I don't.
Last night we just checked out a house. REally don't want to move but we checked out this neighborhood before we moved to our currant house. There was this house, beautiful on the outside, not so hot on the inside. I was kind of shocked. So, we did that, ran to toys r us and went to Wendy's. Geez.....did I eat that single w/cheese??? Oh well, I was busy, no exercise was done and I didn't finish all of my waters.
Today, I'm doing good but I tend to start my days off like that. All in all, I don't think I'm doing to bad, honostly. I just have a couple of mishaps.

This saturday we're going to see 'Trans-siberian' ochestra and staying in Cleveland for the night. I'm looking forward to that. So, I know I need to be good during the day so I can have fun at night!

Later on he came back in and I was still in the kitchen (on the phone) and he was looking around--talked to my 15yo old who tells me he had a can of clam chowder set out -which I had found and put away. We think he was coming in to pick that up. He has eaten stuff like that cold out of the can before.
He tends to be a "food monger" as you say too. He was thin until the last year and has started to put on some weight....not as much exercise (gf's parents drive them around) and still eats as though he was growing. I honestly think he will eat more than my husband and I put together----maybe even more than that!

LOL

I will stick around--nice to have a place to vent and maybe brag sometimes!!

Good morning everyone!! Welcome Onlygirl!

I don't have anything to say about a 21 yo being at home bc I was at home til I was 25 then I left and came back 2 years later and stayed til I was 34 and I had a son. There was a marriage and a divorce in there and a company move then they closed that office and transferred me back. My mom is a single mom and I have a mentally disabled sister who mom needed help with and I also had a teenage sister so I helped pay alot of bills while I was there.

My son 12 thinks he can "order" dinner and I will fix whatever he wants. He has come into a rude awakening bc I stopped doing that about a year ago and now it is...eat what I fix or get it yourself. I try not to fix stuff he doesn't like when he is here (cabbage & noodles). He goes to his dad's every other weekend. I don't know what to tell you other than join the club! I guess since your son is older we are joining your club! LOL!! At least I know I am not alone and now I have a heads up that it doesn't stop after they get out of their teens. My son is a food monger. He eats all the time and is skinny. The kids at school call him the foodinator bc he eats his food then will eat whatever they have left.

Have a great day and stay healthy!!
