Hey, welcome to my world!! My FIL moved in three years ago. Yes, three. It was suppose to ONE and he was suppose to live in the backyard in his trailer. Well, lets just say he's still living in the den three years later. No intentions to move out. My DH promised me 1 year. I can understand your frusteration and your anger. If it was your husbands idea, get ready to start resenting him sometime in the future. Maybe not today, or tommorrow but it will propobly come if your MIL keeps driving you nuts.
On the brighter side of things, the finacial burden is alot less on my husband since Im a SAHM. Also, he's a live in baby sitter. I know where your coming from though, and trust me I don't really want anyone living with my immediate family.
It's okay to get stressed. It's alright to feel the way you feel. It's hard living with people. Good luck. Email me to vent if you want

Hang in there! Fitness is a wonderful stress reducer so make sure you sneak it in when ever you get the chance. Also, you may want to suggest to pick up the groceries for the house since your MIL has been so gracious to open her house to you. This will ensure that you have healthy snacks and meals in the house over sugars and pastries. Hang in there and remember that in the grand scheme of things, you are blessed to have a warm, dry space to enjoy time with your family.
Be well, Kelly

| Well, this has got to be one of the worst nightmares I've ever been through. I stopped my exercise to clean a pack a house I've lived in for 15 years with DH and DS (not much help from either). Moved in with MIL into a unit complex with wonderful facilities, but I've yet to use them. I'm gettting very little quality sleep because DH is snoreing like a mack truck. Mil insists on keeping sweet biscuits and stuff like that in the house (after all the work I've done to get small child eating well), and she puts butter and salt on everything. She's insentive, competitive and pushy (along with lots of other negatives). I hate living here (not my idea - another brillant one from DH) and I find myself eating because of stress. Hopefully it'll all settle down or I'll win a house or something.
