Hi all!
Cindi- I loved reading about your trip. One of these days I'll make it out to California.

Michelle- I just got pictures back with me in a swimsuit in June & I look awful! So, that is inspiring me to try again with the exercise & eating right.
Hi everyone else!

Hey skinnies!

Cindi~i really enjoyed reading and seeing all the pics about and from your trip. You really look great!

Yes, Gov. Perry came down yesterday and granted 9 counties here as disaster and will receive money. We got ALOT of heavy rains for a solid 36 or so hours. I thought we were gonna have to build an ark! Newton county around the Orange area is flooded terribly. Thanks for asking!

Girls, I'm so sick of myself. I've gained weight and it makes me want to puke! I know what I need to do, why don't I just do it? I'm up to 155 now, and I hate it. I'm gonna send y'all a pic I came across last week of me last summer. I was so skinny! Makes me sick! Why did I do this to myself? Can I still blame Rita? LOL

Ok, going out to mow.

BBL~
Michelle

Hi girls!

Just thinking about you all and wondering how you are doing.

Michelle~I saw where Beaumont is getting some flooding. How are you all? Hopefully, it isn't bad where you are. Let us know.

I have been busy as usual. I am getting some more embroidery jobs lately. Now, I just have to make the time to do them. I need to get started on them this week. Before I get more. I have a guy that is supposed to bring me 30 shirts, so I want to finish up what I have before I get more. Plus, I just did some for my chiropractor and he suggested I go to the uniform store and put my name there for embroidery. He said the lady they use charges more than me and her prices are ridiculous, so if I put my name in there I might get more work from that. So, I better get busy and get caught up. I really need to spend a couple hours a night on this to keep it up. I have a couple baby blankets to make and some Christmas presents too. I keep thinking of more stuff.

I hope everyone is doing well. I miss you guys.

TTYL,
Cindi

Hello!

I got home late Sunday night and went to bed an hour and a half later. I fell asleep while watching Desperate Housewives. I slept til 6:45 Monday morning. I got the kids off to school and went back to sleep. Lance got up at 9:30 or at least that is when I finally heard him. He will usually yell when he wakes up and if I don't go get him right away he will lay in there and play. Usually til he loads his diaper then he really lets me know he is awake. So, we got up at 9:30, I had NO energy, so didn't do much til it was time to go pick up Daniel. Came home, put Lance down for a nap and I laid down again til about 2:30pm, then got up when Lance started hollering and once again had a loaded diaper. I laid in my bed til 3 and watched tv. THen finally got up, did some laundry and took my vitamins and the other stuff, my nutritionist recommended. They must have kicked in because next thing I know I was cleaning and had the kids cleaning and got 2 rooms totally cleaned, some laundry done, and a good amount of the kitchen cleaned. THen I made dinner and took Sarah to gymnastics. I tried to go to bed early, but didn't.

That trip just wore me out. It was a trip where you wanted to see and do as much as possible. Not much time to rest. We ate and drank a lot. I actually didn't do tooo bad on food and actually hit the gym one day. I really wanted to go to the gym where the stars go, so I could see some hot, sweaty stars, but didn't get to. I had a great tour of Beverly Hills, HOllywood, and other areas. I took a lot of pics. I got a picture of the paparazzi outside Tom Cruise's house.lol They were lined up. I got a picture of Dr. Phil's house. Madonna's was covered by trees, you couldn't see a thing. We saw a lot of houses, many of them behind gates, so it was hard to see. We went down Rodeo drive for a couple hours and then went to Universal studios. Well, one lady went back to Rodeo drive and saw GEORGE CLOONEY! I really wanted to see him because he is from KY and my friend is married to his cousin, so I would have actually been able to have a conversation about something. Then at our hotel, Heidi Klume and Seal were in the lobby, but I missed them, of course. So, was Jennifer Love Hewitt. I would have liked to see her. I had someone tell me once that I looked like her, so I would like to see her in person to see if it's true. NOT! Maybe the same facial structure, but that is probably about it. ANyway, the only famous person I saw was our last night there and there was a picture of him on the billboard outside our hotel, but I don't know his name. We thought he was from Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, which I was so tipsy that I kept saying Queer Guy for the straight Eye. I just couldn't get it right.lol He is bald, but I think he is a designer or maybe a stylist, I think we decided he wasn't on Queer Eye. I don't watch that show anyway. So, the billboard was advertising a show on the TV Guide channel. Fashion... something. So, I will have to figure out who he is since he was the ONLY famous person I saw. I would love to go back. There was so much to do that we didn't get to do in 4 days.

I did get my hair cut and brows waxed and I LOVE IT! Geno was my guy, he was great. I thought he would be some older, short, heavy italian, but NOOO! HE was young, hip, had a nose ring, tattoos on his arm, wearing a rosary around his neck, his black hat on sideways and get this, he was Hawaiian.lol I thought for sure Italian. I really liked him though. He was super nice and really knew his stuff.

The salon was in Beverly Hills, so I then walked about 25 min. to the Beverly Center, a mall. I went to Ann Taylor and bought a top and then went to some other stores after having lettuce wraps at PF CHangs, I love their lettuce wraps. I got a tofu/vegetarian one. I took the leftovers to Danny and he liked them too. I waited til he was done to tell him they had tofu.lol So, then I went to Bloomindale's and a girl was getting her makeup done, so then someone stopped me and asked if I wanted her to do my makeup. WELL, SURE! SO, I got my hair, eyebrows and make up done. Oh, I love my eyebrows, btw. Definitely opened my eyes up, which was my goal.

So, then I got a cab back to the hotel in time to do some more shopping at the center next to the hotel and then got dressed in time for dinner. IT was great, I was all ready, just had to change my clothes. I got so many compliments on my hair and outfit. Everybody said I looked like a movie star.lol I did feel pretty good this weekend. Many people noticed I had lost weight. Of course, I haven't lost much since the last trip, if any, but I guess I did tone up some.

I did pretty good, the scale was only up 2 lbs Monday morning. So, hopefully it will start going back down soon. It is only going down about .2 lbs a day.

NOw, I need to do lots of embroidery to pay for everything I spent the last few days. I wasn't going to spend anything, but i figured I only do this once. Maybe we will go again sometime, but I don't know.

Oh, Friday night we went to an expensive Italian restaurant. It was good, but the drinks were ridiculously expensive. ANyway, afterward we went to a Sushi type restaurant owned by the same person as the Italian. It is called KOI. We had heard it was the place to go. Supposedly many stars eat there. So, we wanted to go for drinks. WEll, the guy at the front door wouldn't let us in w/out a reservation. SO, I sweet talked him and in we went. NOPE, no one famous. It was a cool place though and we had some yummy drinks. Another lady went to a private party and talked the bouncer into letting her peek in and she saw Paris Hilton and Courtney Cox. I don't really care about Paris Hilton, although I did see the bar where she got hit a couple weeks ago.hehe

I have an appt. this morning w/ the personal trainer. I have been trying to follow her plan this week, kind of. I am eating good, just not exactly following her plan. I do plan to though. So, today we are going to do weights and hopefully get me on a program w/ those. Then I hope to follow that plan til I get to the shape I want to be in and of course stay there. I am trying to find a good workout schedule that doesn't have me exercising as much as I had been so I can keep it up w/ no problem. Of course I will be exercising a little extra to remove the excess flab. I am just tired of lingering here in the upper 140's. Although I know I am more toned because I was able to wear my Lucky Jeans comfortably the whole trip and just recently was able to do that. Before that I was just uncomfortable in them and I weigh the same, so I should probably put the scale away if I am going to start strength training more. I just need to eat right and exercise and not worry about the numbers. LOL Imagine that, eat right and exercise. Whodda thunk it, that might actually work. Hmmm. I'll give it a whirl and let you all know if it works or not!!lol

I better finish my omlet and oatmeal and get ready for the gym. I guess I will have to wake Lance up soon too.

Have a wonderful day.

Hi everyone

Hope you are all having a good week! All is well here... Cole had a little stomach bug Friday night but he was fine the next day. We went to an Apple Festival over the weekend and it was chilly, but fun.

Cindi~ your pix are great! I really enjoyed looking at them.. one day I will send a photo album to you guys when we can get HIGH SPEED.... guess we live in the sticks here so they don't offer it, lol! You look great, by the way! Looks like you had a great vacation, can't wait to hear about it.

I'm sticking to my workout but still not eating all that great, so I haven't been losing.

Good Morning, Skinnies!

Just wanted to jump on and say, "HI!" Not much to say really. Didn't get to go in to Wal-Mart yesterday. It was too rainy to pull Jeremy out. So if I can drag him out of bed and feed him something, I'm hoping to go in about an hour or so. We're out of food and I really need to get some fruit and veggies or I may end up breaking down and making indoor S'mores for snacks again. Not a good thing.

Debbie~ Sorry to hear about Mark's co-worker's loss. And about your computer problems. I hope your problems are solved soon. {{{HUGS}}} to you!

Becky, Cindi, Joce, Kathy, Michelle, Sandy~ HI! hope everyone of you is well and staying healthy. Remember your water!!! {{{HUGS}}} to you all! Catch y'all later!

Hi everyone,
We are still recovering from the flu here. Ashlyn and I are good, but everyone else is still coughing.

The computer saga is never-ending. I can't remember if I told you or not, but my laptop died. We have been able to retrieve most of my files and put them on Mark's computer so that is a good thing. Then this morning when I went to use it, the mouse wasn't working. So I switched out to a different mouse, which worked a little better but was still jumping all over the page. Ugh! I finally went downstairs and retrieved my mouse from my PC, which still isn't hooked up to internet btw, and plugged it into Mark's PC. Bingo, it worked! Thank goodness because I had some ebay auctions to win. LOL! I have been bidding on Magic Attic doll clothes. Ashlyn decided she wanted a Magic Attic doll instead of American Girl and we were able to pick one up for $30. She used her bday money to get it. She doesn't know it, but I won a ton of clothes for the doll on ebay and will give her a couple of outfits now and the rest at Christmas. At the $30 price, I will probably pick a doll up for Isabella too. I'm just waiting to see if the quality is as good as I've read.

Besides the computer issues it has been crazy around here. Friday afternoon we found out that the wife and 3yo child of one of Mark's coworkers was killed instantly in an auto accident. A van, full of handicapped kids, crossed the double yellow line and hit the side of their car and then went on to hit another car. It was so horrible. There was also a 3 month old baby girl in the car, but she is okay. This all happened 2 weeks after our own pastor had done the devotional at Dave's and told his story of the accident that killed his wife and child. Brad, the husband, was at that devo. Mark is going to the funeral tomorrow and said that Brad wanted it to be more of a celebration of Jennifer's(wife) and his daughter, Hannah's lives. I cannot imagine personally going through this. Mark said its been pretty somber at work and Dave is letting anyone go to the funeral who wants to go. It's going to be a tough day tomorrow. Anyway, if you could say a little prayer for Brad's comfort during this horrible time of loss, I'm sure the prayers would be felt. Here's the article on the accident...so sad. http://www.tennessean.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=2006310160015

On a brighter note, Mark & I helped a couple from our Bible Study do a garage sale on Saturday. We ended up buying some of their furniture and they gave us a great deal. One thing they gave to us was a green leather couch that matches so much better in our house than our old one. We decided to "pay it forward" and gave a single Mom in our group our couch so it all worked out really well. Sunday was the usual go to church, come home and relax with the kids, then go to Bible Study that night. The co-hosts and ourselves are in agreement that we can't wait for this Bible Study to end. They don't really care for the "canned" Bible Studies either. We have really been struggling with this since we volunteered to lead a Bible Study thinking we were really going to delve into the Bible. Instead we are going through this very opinionated study and this guy is just searching for verses to support his opinions. It just drives us nuts b/c he is using all kinds of translations to do it. Anyway...enough whining on that!

Another one of Mark's co-workers wants to give away his 1 1/2 yo dog to a good home. We are seriously considering it. It is a Mountain Cur...very cute with big, floppy ears and already trained. They are supposed to have gentle temperaments, but also make great guard dogs. We are going to sleep on it. We arent' really prepared for a dog, but we could be pretty fast. We used to have a dog in AZ and we do miss having a pet around. Plus, we live kind of rural so I would feel a little safer during the day if the dog was here. Time to get the cedar pet bed from Costco!

Mark needs the computer to do some side work, so I need to scoot. Hope you are all doing well!

Good Morning, Skinnies!

Wow I'm on before noon! It's 10:30 here although with all the clouds it feels a lot earlier! I just want to crawl back in bed! But I'm not. If I can I plan to go shopping today; get at least a little movement into my day. It may not be the greatest exercise or the best walking but as much as I walk in Wal-Mart it has to count for something!!! That and I played a lot this weekend with my nephews and my mom, sister, brothers, sister-in-law. We played badmitton and did an archery "contest"; actually just shot around a bow. But I got a workout that's for sure!

I like cake too much! I think I ate too much of it this weekend. I went to one of my nephew's birthday parties and had 2 pieces of cake there on Sat. and then 2 more pieces on Sun. Ice cream and cake are my 2 big downfalls! Thankfully there isn't any here at the house. There's ice cream, but it's in little cups and I only allow myself one every so often just not every day. Knowing I have it and am not totally denying myself keeps me from binging on it later and eating half a gallon in one sitting. I actually did that once! That's scary!

Well, I'm working on getting Cody's cell phone set up. I never thought I'd be saying that. But since the school won't let him call home to inform me where he's going (which friend's house) or when he will be home, I needed a way to get in touch with him. At least I didn't have to buy the phone; my mom gave it to him. :-) It's a tracfone (prepaid) so I don't have to worry about a huge bill. And if he uses the minutes up talking to friends he is forced to buy more minutes himself so to keep X amount of minutes on there for emergencies. That's what the phone is to be used for, but I can't guarantee that will happen so we just have to make him pay for whatever he goes over. I'm considering getting Rusty (dh) one for Christmas, so I can find him when he's tutoring.

Kathy~ {{{HUGS}}} I hope things ease up soon for you!

Becky, Cindi, Debbie, Joce, Michelle, & Sandy~ HI! Hope you're doing fine.

I'll try to get back on later to chat some more. I need to go now and do laundry & dishes. {{{HUGS}}} to all! Catch y'all later!

And yes I gained this weekend! 3 lbs. I think I'll avoid the cake for a long time now! I thought though with all that exercise I'd just stayed at 193, but NOOOOOO. :-( I'll lose it again! I know I will. And it may just be water weight I didn't lose yet from Aunt Flo's visit. That happens to me sometimes. I'll go work it off soon. Catch y'all later.

Hi everyone.

I just read all the posts, and have no time left to respond! Seems my life is just a series of events that I am running late for! LOL!!

School is so hard. It is just so much material that I never finish so that I feel like I can relax. I think after October finishes, maybe things will slow down a little bit. Right now, I have something scheduled for school almost every day. If not lecture, then lab or blood pressure screenings at various locations, or just trying to complete the reading! We start clinicals next week, and I did get the weekends! I don't have to worry about before school daycare for the kids. I have to leave at 6 a.m. I will have class on Monday & then Sat & Sun. working at various locations.

I know this is so self centered. Isn't it pitiful!! Just wanted to let you know why I'm MIA.

Cindi - have fun on your trip.

Good Morning, Skinnies!

Well, it's morning at the moment. It may not be by the time I'm caught up. lol.

Becky~ I stay behind, so I know how you feel. I just wish I'd stop hitting the MIA spells of mine. How am I supposed to keep up with everyone and stay on track if I keep going MIA??? Maybe this time I'll stay on track longer. ;-) Cross your fingers. I love cats too. We have 2: Midnight and Smokey.

Cindi~ OUCH! Poor Daniel. I'm glad his eye didn't get hurt though. {{{HUGS}}} to him from me. I understand about alarm clock trouble. Cody came into our bedroom this morning at 7:30 and asked Rusty why he wasn't out of bed yet! For some reason the alarm clock didn't go off. Rusty says he set it for this morning, but it never went off. The last time this happened he had accidentally set it for pm instead of am. I honestly think that's what happened this time too; he just doesn't want to admit it. I totally understand with Aunt Flo. She came to visit me on the 10th and I'm still feeling icky. I think Pamprin will be a nice addition to lunch today.

Debbie~ The Body Clutter book was awesome! I'm loaning it to a dietician friend of mind and she is just amazed by it. If you get the chance read it! I loved it and it explained a few things that I never thought of about my own eating habits.

Hi Joce, Kathy, Michelle, & Sandy.

I hope everyone is doing well today! I may be out of touch this weekend. I'm going to my mom's down in Camden. I'll try to get online there though, but I can't promise anything. I'll just have to see how it goes.

Some friends and I decided to try to train for the Little Rock 1/2 marathon again. I'm hoping this time we actually go through with it. I ended up walking over 2 hours yesterday! It was such a nice day! Jeremy rode his bike and when he got a little ways ahead I'd do a little jogging to catch up. It must have been funny to see me jogging. My belly bounces like a dribbling basketball!!! LOL. But it was great. I felt better afterwards too. So why don't I walk/jog more often??? I know I'll feel better after I do it; it's just getting me out to walk or jog that's the killer. Oh well, I have to get out again today some time to keep the training up. :-) Maybe I can get Rusty & Cody to go with us this time. That's always fun. :-)

Well, gotta go. Gotta get lunch ready and take some Pamprin. I'm not feeling too good right now. Maybe I should go for a walk now!

Catch y'all tomorrow! {{{{{HUGS}}}}} to all!

I am leaving tomorrow, so I have lots to do today. I am getting my mani. and pedi. in a few hours, so I need to get lots done before then. Just wanted to check in before I go.

Sandy~If we all get together in KY, it would be here in Louisville. We have a house on the river, sorry Michelle, no fireplace:( So, we could all stay there. Right now it has 2 bedrooms and a couple couches. But, we are supposed to be adding another bedroom. It is in the middle of renovation, so we will see if it is done by next summer. If so, we can all meet here. Where are you in Illinois? As for fish oil vs. flax oil, I think flax oil is better and doesn't have an aftertaste like fish oil or as my friend says no burping up a fishy taste. UGH! I have never taken fish oil though. I am staying at the Hollywood Renaissance Hotel, so I am excited. I am sure I will like it I hear it is really nice. It is the hotel advertised at the end of the Dr. Phil show where they say their guests stayed at the Hollywood Renaissance Hotel.lol I wish I could go see a Dr. Phil show.

I have been making last minute appts. and arrangements etc. I need to go finish packing, getting the kids stuff together and then try to clean up.

I finally made an appt. to get my hair done. I decided to go w/ the more expensive stylist. This place was highly recommended and the guy that had an appt for THurs is a Master stylist that travels for Aveda and teaches classes, etc. SO, I told the girl what I wanted and she said he would be great, so I am excited. Then I will get a brow wax after that. I decided to not do the facial since I am spending a little more on my hair and I have gift cards for one of the spas here, so I can always get a facial another time. It has been so long since I have had one and I just love them.

I go for my manicure and pedicure tonight. I am so excited to get this stuff scheduled finally. I am so ready to go.

I just put Lance down for a nap, so now is the time for me to get something done.

Have a great day!!

Hi all!
Cindi- your trip does sound fun! I love the Universal Studios down in FL. If you like where you are staying, you'll have to clue us in- maybe one day we can follow your footsteps.

Michelle- I got a really good deal on my mums. They wanted $8-11 at Wal-mart for the size I got, but I went to the local Tru Valu store and they had them for $4! I might be able to make a trip to KY being as I am in IL. Whereabouts in KY?

Cindi- thanks for the tips on the vitamins and tea extract. I didn't know about the flax oil or the extract. Is flax oil anything like fish oil? I take fish oil. How does the green tea extract taste? Blueberries also mop up free radicals.

Well, I need to get back at it!Hi to everyone else!
I hope everyone has a great Monday!

Good Morning!

Well, my plans for the day are off a bit. I went to bed at 10 pm, planning a good night's sleep, up at 6am to do the t/m, get kids up and off to school and start cleaning and packing by 7:30am. Danny is out of town, so my sil was supposed to pick the kids up at 7:30 for me since Lance is still usually sleeping. Well, I heard Lance crying and thought, oh, go back to sleep it isn't time to get up yet. Danny called at 11:30 to let me know he made it to Indi., Daniel woke up and was doing something w/ his garbage can in his sleep. I was afraid he was going to try to pee in it, so I led him to the bathroom and he went, then Sarah woke up at 3am crying, I figured she had peed the bed because that is what happens when she wakes up crying. Well, she was saying she couldn't fall asleep. I said, you have already been asleep for 7 hours, go back to sleep, so she did. She thought she had just gone to bed and couldn't fall asleep. So, when Lance cried this morning I had no idea it was 7:35, I was totally out of it and for some reason my alarm didn't go off or it did and I totally don't remember. So, I called my sil to tell her not to come, luckily she was running a few minutes late and then I got the kids to school at 8:02am. Sarah has to be there by 7:50 and Daniel at 8, so Sarah got her first tardy slip this year. Pre-K doesn't get them, so Daniel was ok. I told my sil to let the Pre-K teacher know what was going on.

So, I am off to a good start, huh? Oh, and Aunt Flo arrived around 3am this morning, when I was up w/ Sarah. So, I am bloated and icky today.

Oh, I went out and bought supplements that my nutritionist recommended that everyone should have in their diet. SO, I will tell you what they are in case you would like to know. Flax oil(cold compressed), multivitamin(I was almost out, so I asked her what she takes and it is called Life Force, she said it is wonderful and gives her so much energy), Vitamin C, E and a B complex. The B complex I bought had C and folic acid in it too. Then multivitamin I got had iron in it. I also got a green tea extract that comes in a little bottle w/ a dropper. She said one dropper full in a bottle of water is what she drinks and one dropper full is equivalent to like 10 cups of green tea or something like that. The green tea really helps to kill off free radicals which can cause cancer and other illnesses. I said, I know you get free radicals from eating fried food and stuff, but where else do they come from. She said, from the hairspray we use to the exhaust from our cars to the pollution in the air, etc, etc, etc. I was surprised at how often we are around them that I didn't realize. So, I bought the green tea extract because it will be much easier for me to use that than to drink that much tea in a day. I had heard the benefits of it, but didn't realize all that. If there are any other supplements that you all want to know about let me know and I will ask her because my Mom wants me to ask about a couple for her. I just want to know what is really beneficial.

I got on the internet yesterday and found a place to get my hair done in Hollywood/LA area for only $50. That is more than I spend, but much cheaper than I was expecting. Plus, I can get an eyebrow wax for $27, never had that done, but need them shaped bad. So, if I go to that salon, I might get a facial too. THey use Aveda products and I love Aveda, especially for facials. I also found a lady that is closer to the hotel that has a special for 50%off your first haircut w/ her. She had a lot of recommendations written about her online. SO, I am going to find out how much a cab ride to the other place will be(about 20 min) vs. to this lady who is only 4 miles from the hotel. Do you all ever watch Blow Out on Bravo w/ Jonathon Antin? He has 2 places there and they are both about 3-4 miles from the hotel(one is in Hollywood and one in Beverly Hills, but I heard he is $200-400 a haircut, out of my price range. The one 20 min. away was recommended by the Aveda store in the shopping complex next to the hotel. I looked it up and called. It looks like our hotel is part of a complex that has the shops, the Kodak Gallery(where they have the oscars) and the Chinese theatre where they do most of their movies openings(what's it called?)

So, sounds like we will have a great time just walking out the front door. The walk of fame is right there too. Danny and I will be there all day Wed. by ourselves then while he is in meetings Thurs, I will go get beautified while waiting for the others to get there at 3pm, then we are taking a tour of Hollywood, Sunset Blvd, Beverly Hills, Rodeo drive, etc. They show you all the stars homes, famous places, etc. So, that will be fun. Then we have a reception that night. Then Friday we get a walking tour of Rodeo drive and will get to go shopping( I will probably do most of my shopping at the center next to the hotel, they have Ann Taylor loft:), then we go to Universal Studios for the rest of the day. Sat, we have another tour and then our formal dinner Sat. night, then home on Sunday. I am really looking forward to this trip.

Lance is done eating, so I better get my 30 min. on the t/m, so I can eat. I am getting hungry.

Have a great day!!

Hey skinnies! Long time no chat. Sorry bout that!

Cindi~ouch on Daniel's face! He is lucky though. Boys will be boys, huh? Kade slammed his thumb in the car door last weekend. I thought it was broke, but it was fine by the next day. Where are y'all going? And YES! Kentucky sounds great! I'll have to start working on hubby. tee hee Let's go in the winter, so I can see snow. LOL And have a fire in the cabin. This trip would be cheaper b/c we wouldn't have to pay for a room.

Becky~Bella is a cute name. What color is she? I bet the kids are enjoying her.

Debbie~are y'all all better? Hope so.

Sandy~yes, we met in Galveston. We had a good time. It's so neat to put a face to a name and all that. We need to start making plans for Kentucky. I asked about your garden. I love shasta daisies. I need to go get some mums.

Kathy~oooo, i would be so aggravated too about the windows. Are you happy yet? We haven't seen your pretty smiling face lately. We used to have cats b/k, (before kids). The only thing i didn't like about them was the litter box. So nasty. But, they do train a lot easier than dogs. LOL

What's everybody's plans for the weekend? No big ones here.

Did I tell y'all that we got season tickets for the Houston Texans? We have had such a good time going. Yes, they've only won 1 game, but it's still fun.

I'll check in later!

Hi girls!

I have been busy trying to get the house ready to leave for our trip and running around etc. We leave next Wed. I can't believe it is here already. I have been doing laundry tonight. I don't think I will go to bed til my room is clean, dusted, closet and sitting room cleaned and all the clothes put away. Except Danny's, that is his job. I have too many other things to do. So, I better get moving.

Just wanted to check in since I haven't had time to post what happened to Daniel.

Sunday, Daniel was "working" with my Dad and Danny. They went to our storage units and We have a Bobcat that they use to work with. Daniel loves riding on it w/ my Dad or Danny. Well, Dad and Danny were cutting steel shelving and they had just cut one. Dad went to get on the Bobcat and Danny was trying to move this steel thing. Daniel saw Dad heading toward the Bobcat, so he ran full force to catch up w/ him. Just about that time Danny lifted the metal thing and the end they had just cut was the end that Daniel ran into. Daniel wasn't near Danny when Danny started to lift it, but since he runs like Dash on the Inredibles he was there just as it got to his eye level. Danny was facing Dad, but looked to see where Daniel was just as Daniel hit. We are so lucky it didn't hit his eye. He got a total of 15 stitches. I kept him home from school today, so we have had a day just the 2 of us. Lance was here, but took a good, long nap. I have been trying to clean in between spending time w/ Daniel. He is skipping soccer practice tonight, but will go back to school tomorrow. He gets his stitches out on Thurs. Pretty quick, huh?

So, that's what happened. Sad thing is as Danny was leaving the house Sunday and Daniel said he didn't want to go. He ALWAYS wants to go, but his cousin, Emma, was here. But, she and Sarah play well together and I figured Daniel would just bother them. So, I talked him into going w/ Danny. I wish I hadn't. Oh well, no since in thinking that way now. I just hate to see him like that. Danny had called me when I was leaving the grocery to tell me to meet him at the emergency room. Last time he had to take Daniel to the emergency room, 2 or 3 yrs ago, I was at the grocery store. I said, well, I have a whole basket of stuff I need to finish my list, pay and go home and unload. YOu know how emergency rooms are. So, I got there just in time to go back w/ him. Luckily, this time I was already leaving the store and my brother was at my house w/ my other kids.

So, that is how I spent my Sunday evening. No Desperate Housewives for me. I have missed both weeks now. I should see it this week since Danny will be out of town. He leaves Sun and comes home Monday night then we leave Sunday morning. Oh, I am so busy between now and when we leave.

Becky~Good to see you again.

Kathy~I would be mad about the windows too.

Debbie~Hope you all are feeling better.

Better get busy.

Take Care,
Cindi

Good Morning!

I tried to catch up on posts again... seems like I am always missing something! Whoa, what happened to Daniel? Looks like his eye is ok!

We got a little kitten over the weekend. She is really cute and the kids just love her. Her name is Bella and she is probably 6 weeks old or so.. still looks for her mama but she is eating good and using the litter box like a big girl! Cats are so easy, I can just leave whenever I want and come home and she is usually just sleeping. She's so cute!
So, Kathy and I are both new cat owners!

Kathy~ that's awful about your windows. It is not normal for them to have condensation, that usually only happens to ours when I have the humidifier going in one of the bedrooms. I hope it all works out for you!

Cindi~ What happened to Daniel? Hope he is ok!

Debbie~ hope you are feeling better today.

Hi Michelle, Joce, Randi, Sandy and other skinnies. Have a great day!

Hi everyone,
Mark & I both have the flu today so he is home. I still managed to have a good school day with the kids. We are hoping we are better so we can go to the Egyptian field trip tomorrow at the Frist Center in Nashville. We have heard it is pretty neat.

Kathy ~ Man, I can't believe the window ordeal! That's terrible! Seven chapters is A LOT of work to be done in just a few days. On a good note, congrats on the new cat. Glad the kids are enjoying him/her.

Sandy ~ I bet your garden looks really nice. We are hoping to get a little landscaping done to this place in exchange for a website Mark is building for some friends.

Cindi ~ The wedding pictures were great. And how did Daniel cut his head? Ouch! That looked so painful.

Hey, I'm up for a trip next summer especially since KY is w/in driving distance. I'll start saving now...

I have dinner in the crockpot, have caught up with my friends, and now I'm going to nap for a bit hopefully. Have a great day!

Debbie

Hi everyone!
Can't remember who asked, but I've been spending most of my 'gardening' time cutting down the dead flowers. This weekend, my dh & I put in a new flower garden. I got an Aster & (actually won that at a baby shower) and bought 3 mums. I also put in some Shasta Daisies that I had and Hostas.

What's this about a skinny reunion? Debbie said she went & met you all once. When & where was that? That is great! I'm sure she told you we went to NYC. I'd love to meet you all some time too.

Well, just checking in- I'll be looking for "Happy Kathy" later!
~Sandy

Hi.

Just checking in before leaving for school. I am so swamped. We had 7 chapters to read - assigned Thursday & to be finished before class today. 2 more before Wed. So...that is my life.

We inherited my brother's cat. It's not so bad now that we have her. His girlfriend is allergic & he was so upset about having to get rid of the cat. He didn't like my suggestion to just get rid of the girlfriend! LOL Actually, she is a nice person. This is Alan. I probably haven't said much about him. He is next to youngest. Carefree & so on....The kids are thrilled. They've been asking for a cat for so long.

We've been selling girl scout cookies. Our first year doing it. It is a pain having 2 of them selling!

I'll have to fill you all in on our window ordeal. I think we'll have to end up going to court over these stupid windows! I don't think they put in what we ordered. Besides the work being so sloppy! It has been such a hassle. you know, when you get something new, especially something huge, like 23 windows, it is nice to have people come in and say wow, I love your windows! Well, the reactions are quite different. Oh....who did that, Stevie Wonder? No offence to STevie wonder, but it looks like a job done by someone who couldn't see what they were doing. My wall paper is torn, my curtains have blood...yes blood on them. GRRRR.....I'd better stop before I get all steamed up again. Speaking of steamed up...yesterday morning, the windows had condensation all over the inside. These windows are supposed to be the very best. Energy Star compliant, which means you get a certificate and can get a tax deduction for installing them. They are double paned & have some type of gas between the panes that is supposed to keep any condensation from forming. WElll, now they guy is saying all windows get condensation on them.......

It has been such a nice morning here.

Better go. Happy Kathy will come back later. LOL
