Hey Mick- We have a vegetarian Team that is very active and there are men on it as well. You can find a link to it from my SparkPage. I'm a long-time veg'n myself, so I'd be happy to help if you have nutrition questions about meeting your protein needs, etc. In fact, I started a really informative thread on our Team page called "Questions about Becoming Veg'n" that you might want to check out.
Sorry to intrude in the Guy's area! ;-)

Mick,
Glad to see you decided to not become total Veggie right away. It takes a lot of effort to be a "healthy" vegetarian. Most people just assume it means not eating meat. But a lot more goes into eating the right kinds of protein, etc. Those who put the proper effort into being veggie can live a very helthy life. But far too many people don't do it properly and actually can make themselves ill. Good luck!

| Not a vegetarian but I've eaten a little less meat since I've been here. I've even found myself eating things that are meat free. I'm a big fan of hummus! I doubt people are going to come unhinged if you become vegetarian, unless you have friends that work in a slaughterhouse, then you're on your own.

any vegetarians in the guys lounge? i feel a bit weird cos i just started being a veggie yesterday.
my reasons for change are both for the sake of eating less fat etc, and also for my 'beleifs' [not religious].
i just feel like people are gonna take the p*ss when they find out - but **** em!
