I eat 6oz of Tuna for lunch most of the time along with one slice of bread. I like grilled salmon and grilled talapia. If you stay away from the breaded fish you will cut the calories.

Calories aren't really "bad". What counts most is where they come from. Fish is high in essential fatty acids. Yes, they are essential to health - including regulating metabolism. Did you know our brain is comprised of quite a bit of fat. I think fish once or twice a week is suggested. Take it easy on other heavy foods (or bad fats like things w/trans-fatty acids) that day when resticting calories. OR, do some extra activity to burn more calories that day. I know there are some nutrition articles on this (check out the article list from the Nutrition tab). See, you could have had a hot fudge sundae with a lot of calories, but the fish was much healthier for you!

In general, fish is not so high in calories compared to other meats. For example, mahi mahi has the same amount of calories than chicken breast, and of course much less than a new york steak. It has less cholesterol than both as well (less bad fats in general and more of the good fats). Now, of course it depends what fish you're talkig about. For example, bass tends to be less caloric, and tuna more, but they're still good for you. Remember, the "healthiness" of food is not only measured in its calories.
