I know how you feel.

I have these recommendations:

Vitamin b complex

Go to bed at a decent hour

Get plenty of water

Take "mental" breaks through the day

Go to www.flylady.net and if you do the program, it can be so rewarding. It is Free and it is about organization, but a whole lot more. Ultimately it is about taking better care of you, finding time for yourself and your family. Getting dinner on time and keeping up with everything else...so you are not exhausted.

Good Luck! When you have to work, Crock Pots are GREAT!

I try to do my workouts in the morning. Especially when I work a 12 hour shift. I am usually exhausted too!! When I get home, I lay on the couch to unwind before I can go to sleep.

Hi Wannabe,

I'm sorry that you are feeling so exhausted. I would venture to guess that while I am sure you are drained from the day, your feeling of wanting to crash isn't that you are lazy but maybe a little more overwhelmed from it all.
Personally, I think it is hard to work all day, take care of our children, make dinner, work on homework, give baths, put them to bed and then "work out". It's just not something that I can do consistantly. So, for me, I changed my way of thinking. I set the alarm earlier and get my workouts in before the day gets away from me. At first, it was hard to pull myself out of a bed I felt I just got into...but after a while, I would look forward to getting up in the morning and having my time alone. Working out gave me more energy to get through my day and I used the time alone while I worked out to sort through the day as well. I think working out in the morning helps me think clearer (which I need juggling small children, a household, job and life in general).
If you give it a try, I would suggest that you start small. Maybe work out at first for 15-20 minutes in the morning. Make your goals achieveable so that they don't seem to hard to reach. You are not lazy...you can do this! Hang in there!!!

You are SOOOO not alone! Wanting more energy is my number one reason for being on this lifestyle change journey. I used to make up games that require me to be able to lay down. And even though I have more energy now, I have a vicious head cold and I just wanted to sit today too. My daughter must be coming down with what I have, because she was okay with resting on the couch!

The food we eat can make us tired, The type jobs we have can make us tired, Carrying around excess weight can make us tired. so you are probably not alone. I was there at 179 I was tired all the time.

Heaven help me I wish I had the energy for my daughter but when I get home I just want to crash. Am I alone here? Am I just really really lazy?
