If you do a search for Detox, you'll find lots of threads about this topic on the Message Boards. We do not recommend detoxes- the best way to cleanse your body in a healthy way is through a good diet and regular exercise.

I'm hoping that someone is more knowledgeable than I am about detox dieting - I'm starting a new personal fitness plan (running about 10 miles per week or covering 10 miles per week through cardio, introducing intervals!) and strength training (only 1-2 times this week).
I also started the detox diet outlined in the book (whose link appears below) - and I'm on day 3, where I can only have fluids, fresh fruit, and raw vegetables.
My energy is way down! I'm exhausted - and probably should've consulted someone before I started detox and exercise again.
Is detox healthy for someone just beginning a fitness program?
