Portion Control is so important - we are too supersized!
Chris is right - if you don't have it, you won't eat it!
And drink, drink, drink that H20!

The thing that helps me a lot is removing temptation from my cupboards and fridge. If it isn't there I can't be tempted. So:
Don't do your grocery shopping when you're hungry. Eat before you go out to the shops.
Plan your meals and snacks, make a shopping list and stick to it.
Make sure you have plenty of healthy snacks and foods that can be made quickly. That way, if you are tired and don't have the energy to prepare the food you had planned to make you have something to fall back on.
I once heard a famous TV chef say that she never wanted to be more than 2 minutes away from food. I could relate to that! LOL So I just try to make sure there is something I can have in a hurry that fits in with my plan.
I also have things like fruit or low fat grain bars in the car with me so I am not tempted to pull into a garage and buy an unhealthy snack.
Hope these ideas help :)
Chris

| Measure your portions, you'll be so surprised as to how off your eye is. (a tbsp. of mayo has less calories than 2tbs,) all those little measurements add up fast!

| Welcome! I'm new here, too. Reducing empty liquid calories. I've really helped reduce my calorie intake by not drinking soda at all. I had one yesterday, my first in about a week, which is really good for me. Also making sure I exercise at least 5 days a week, even if it's just taking my son out for a walk in his stroller.

Be sure to drink at least 8-10 glasses of water. Log everything you eat and all your exercise. These have all helped me.
