Yes, I have read that book. It brings me to tears each time I read it. Pre-school is an entirely different feeling; you are right about that one. I guess my other two boys at home will keep me busy so I won't be devastated too long. Good luck with third grade. It sounds like you are doing fine now. It sure gives me hope that life does move forward! It's also good to know that I'm not crazy!! Thanks so much.

The funny thing to me was the 1st day of preschool was no big deal with either child. But Kindergarten that got to me. 1st grade & 2nd grade haven't been a problem just K. We'll see about 3rd this week.
Have you ever read "The Kissing Hand" by Audrey Penn? The story is about a young raccoon going of reluctantly to kindergarten.

Thank you both for the support. It is going to be difficult for me but I know that I need to let her grow into her own little person. I like the idea of sunglasses. I will be sure to have them, and my camera ready. Thank you so much for the kind words!

| Oh gosh do I remember the first day of school, that is a hard one, it does not get any easier for a while then they start college ouch, marriage and then walk down the aisle is so painful, but when the first grand child is born somehow it becomes worth it all. I wish you well make lots of beautiful memories with those tiny blessings of yours. They just grow up too darn fast.

Hi Melissa,
Sunglass can be a handy thing to have if you are taking your daughter to school. It can be kind of hard on Mom leaving our "babies" at school. The sunglasses can help hide the tears.

| Hi! My name is Melissa and I just joined tonight! I have a wonderful supportive husband and three great children. My oldest child, my only daughter, will be starting kindergarten Tuesday. I am on an er,motional roller coaster for that one. I am really looking forward to getting this weight off and to a healthier me! It is great to see all the support given here! Have a great evening!
