| Fatties are very important people in show biz, most good movies and dramas have fat people in them so I cannot see the problem with being fat in show biz! Some of my favorite actors and actresses were fat and really good!

I think it's terrible that one gets type cast for being overweight but then again there are some big male actors out there aren't there.
It is the same for overweight women too though, Dawn French is very type cast and mostly always in comedy programmes and funny enough in comic relief too but I think it's more important to look at your acting ability than your body size but that is in an ideal world isn't it.

I think its great that you are wanting to change your physical appearance.....which, will ALSO change your inner self as well, by raising your self esteem and all. hang in there, YOU CAN DO IT!

My name is Chris and I am a fattie in showbusiness. ("Hi Chris....") :-P
I already feel like I won't get a lot of work because I am from an Asian background but being overweight seems to further aggravate the situation. Don't get me wrong, I get enough work but I don't want to be typecast in comic relief kind of roles the rest of my life because I'm chubby. No one has to respond to this message although I would love any feedback anyone wants to give me - im just starting out with the S/P. I'm just putting it out there for cathartic reasons. Venting and all that.
