Alfie, all that happens when you let it bring you down is that you feel like crap until you're ready to start the whole thing over.
It's just a matter of deciding whether you're going to let yourself feel bad for a few minutes or a few months. Guess what? No one else is doing this to you and you have the power to put an end to it.
Just click your heels together 3 times and repeat after me, "There's no place like SPARK"
Good Luck!

The Navy doesn't go easy on you but if you can accomplish the goal you (and the Navy) havae set that would do so much for your pride of accomplishment. It looks like you have come along way already. Just keep on keeping on and I think you will be glad you did.
My hubby is Navy retired and we are glad we hung in there. It was worth the effort and sacrifice. Marcia

| At least you're getting somewhere. I'm determined to stay in the Navy, and to do that I have to lose another 4.5 total inches (add waist and hips, subtract neck) by sept 18th - ish. I'm just having a hard time getting started, mostly because I just don't know if it's worth it. I don't know if the navy is worth the struggle. One setback here is more damaging than it is outside the navy. One setback here could cost you so much more...

Hi Tiger,
Believe me, there isn't a single person on this site who hasn't completely BLOWN it every once in a while. I've been doing this for 8 months or so now and I've listened to people beat themselves up over stuff like this.
Some of them snap out of it and there are AMAZING results, some quick, some slow, and TONS of backsliding. The difference between the quitters and the losers (and I mean that in the most positive sense) is that the ones who stop wallowing in whatever junk they ate and move on. They're the ones who end up with the greatest losses.
Hang in there kid, make mistakes, move on, and you'll be giving inspiration to others before you know it. There will be no more flogging over a couple of slices of pizza, or some birthday cake, etc.
You are beautiful to the people who care about you, now realize that you need to value yourself based on the person you are, not what you're carrying around on your frame at the moment. You can do this!

A diet isn't just one day, be it a good day or bad day. Record it, learn from it and move on.
I do know one thing. After avoiding fatty foods for a long time, I ate some french fries and they just about made me sick. Isn't that strange?

Hi Tiger I belive that if you have one cheat day per week where you can eat anything you want, you can go back to your better eating habits the rest of the week and keeping up with your work out rutine you will still lose weight and gain muscle! I do just that and I feel good and am looking better. Don't beat yourself up on would have, could have, should have. The past is the past, let it stay there. Your still a Tiger because your writing about it and thats agreat thing. Most would hve givin up and walked away. You did not so good job. One mor thing you'll only hurt yourself by over working stay on the same program. You don't want to over work because that can be bad for you both physically and mentally. Your alright and WOW 30 lbs!!! I need to take tips from you!!

The "best" thing about making a mistake is that most of us learn from it and avoid making it again. Be one of those! You've lost 30 lbs already! That's awesome! I hope someday to accomplish that. You can always make up for some of that with a little more exercise, but the important thing is that you should not give up. Think about the way you felt before losing those 30 lbs, and you know you don't want to go back to that, right? Think about how you felt while seeing your clothes fit better or loose, or when watching the scale go down and down. YOU DID IT. And with that motivation, just keep it up and put yesterday in between parenthesis.

| Do NOT beat yourself up over a minor setback. I know it seems huge, but it's not so bad that you should quit all together. 30 lbs. huh? That's awesome, and that shows that you have the dedication and strength to do what it takes. One night is not going to ruin that. Put in a little extra work out time, remember how you're feeling right now, and move on. Tomorrow is a new day and remember that your life is worth all of the hard work you have put in. You have come too far to look back now!! Steady on! You can do this!

I went to a birthday party tonight at Chucky Cheese thought I did good. I had 2 slices of pizza, but then a bunch of us went out to dinner afterwards for chinese. I got caught up in conversation and didn't even think (I actually forgot) I was on a diet, and I ate general taos chicken and an agg roll which brought my total for the day to like 3000 calories. Makes me want to go vomit. I feel like crap. I did have a great time though, but I can't beleive I did that. I feel like I just ruined my whole diet. I was doing soooo good lost 30 lbs so far. Maybe I can like exercise 2 or 3 hours a day for a week to make up for it.
