| I really hate when that happens.

| The wifes head does this to me all the time! Its uncomfortable but once she is asleep I move it out and wake it up again!

| I had this just a few days ago. I woke up with my arm pinned under me and it was so asleep that nothing was moving. I could feel the blood rushing back in to it. A little weird by I wasnt worried. It happens once it a while. If it is happening for some other reason I would tell your doctor about it. Just my opinion

| I've had that happen when I sleep on and pin my arm under my full weight. What happens is you cut the blood supply to it. It goes away after a while, but it's annoying

| Mostly when someone is laying on my arm it falls asleep, or if its underneath my side. It is annoying in the morning, but after a few minutes it goes away...

| Honestly, I have no idea what position I was in -- I was a bit groggy when I woke up and just noticed the tingling. I could have been laying on it. I'll have to see what happens.

| That would scare me also. Just as others have commented, when my wife or I am laying on my arm it will become numb. If you were not in such a position I would beleive it is time for a call to the Doc.

I tend to sleep on my stomach, so I'll get the "numb arm" too here and there.
Are you sure you didn't pinch a nerve or something?
What was actually kind of freaky was last monday night. I had done my first workout, felt good, went to bed and woke up in pain. Not a sharp pain, but a sore "ok this doesn't feel so great" kind of pain. My poor tired arms/shoulders/chest were crying, and I was sleeping a bit stretched out, so they just wanted to contract and rest. :)

I've had this once or twice, but when I woke up my arm was underneath my body or hanging of the side of the bed. Because of the position I was in I knew it had just fallen asleep really bad. It totally freaked me out at first cuz my arm just flopped over and I had no control of it. Once I realized what I happened I just started laughing!
If your arm wasn't in a weird position then you could give your doctor a call. He may want to check your circulation and pulse. Otherwise wait and see if it happens again.

I had a rather scarey experience last night -- I woke up and my arm was numb, which had happened before, except this time I couldn't move it at all. I could wiggle the fingers a little, but if I lifted my lower arm, it would just flop down again. I couldn't even feel it in my hand -- it was like I was handling some dead guy's arm.
After sitting up for a minute I was able to move it again, but it still feels tingly today.
This really freaked me out. Has anyone else had this happen? I haven't decided whether it's worth bringing up to a doctor.
