I'm like you...I love carbs and fats. My Dr. helped me with some diet ideas. The less carbs and fats you eat, the less you miss them. SLOWLY remove them from your daily diet. If you do it all at once, you're likely to binge. It took time to put the weight on, it'll take time to get it off. I know these are things we already know, but it helps to hear them again. I have come to realize the less I eat of my old junk foods, the less I crave them. I have not had chips, fast food, etc for 55 days now and I can truly say "I don't crave them" Wow...never thought I could say that!

well, I wish you well on your journey. apples, honey toasted 7 grain by kashi, grapes, cherries. I controlled my cravings by giving up foods that caused me to crave more junk foods but most people don't like that approach but it works for me.
I also make sure I drink my water and that helps also. wishing you the best.

Just found SparkPeople today. Want to loose 25 pounds and get fit.....unfortunately, early evening and late night are problem times for me....love my carbs and fatty foods around then. Any tips on how to control the cravings or what would be a good substitute snack (please no veggies suggestions!!!!)
