I am also new to the site and I am amazed at how much is available to me. I think this is a great site and I am glad to have found it. I am sure it is confusing, but I think that with time I will know exactly what I am doing. Thanks for pointing out which parts to hit.

I'm getting the most use out of the resource center. It's been a while since I focussed on nutrition, and it's really helping me to get committed to eating right. I work so I only get a little bit of time every day to check in and I get a bit overwhelmed too. Give it time.

The My Home, Coummunity and SparkPoints are the main tabs you need right now. This is a very large site so it will take a little while to find your way around. Take your time though.

Since I started here, they have added the option of having little Spark Messages sent to our email addresses. Usually there are 5 to 7 messages each day. Each of these messages contain something new to learn. You cna click on the various subjects in each message & learn a new recipe, be linked to at least one article from each of the 3 catgories - motivation/ diet & nutrition/ or fitness & exercise. There are also little polls you can participate in and stories highlighting different people's success. After reading the message, you can then claim Spark Points, while at the same time, claim Spark Points for each of the links you clicked on & read. The points I get confirm to me that I have learned something new, did more to becoming healthier, and help me better track my fitness & food goals. So when I have a lot of points at the end of the day, I know I am still on my way to a healthier & lighter me. When on the MEAL PLANNER/ food tracker page, go ahead & click on all the links it has on it. You'll learn how to add your own specific brands of food to your tracker, how to add & portion entire recipes to track your food, where your calories are coming from - whether they be carbs, fats, or proteins and whether or not the ratios are in the right ranges. Same goes for the other sections. Also, read the messages each of us post to the message boards to get ideas for new recipes, snacks, etc. Or learn what each of us does that is helping us lose weight. Then help someone else along by offering encouragement & tips. Take care, Connie

Don't try to figure out everything at once -- just learn one or two new things about the site every day and you will be an "old pro" in no time!

I find the web commuinty and the my home areas are the ones to hit first. verything you need to know about your plan is on the my home tab. It will also have links to topics in the Resource Center that are helpful to you at your current stage. Most questions can be answered by searching past topics in the message boards to give you info fast.

Just signed up and am over whelmed with all of the information and tabs on the Sparks web site. Are there a few key areas that you go to or is everyone hitting all tabs and areas everyday?
