I too am a teacher, but I try to stay out of the cafeteria! Some tricks I use when eating out, I put half in a box at the beginning of my meal...or if I can't take it home I make it ugly. I may smash it up, put an extreme amount of salt or sugar on it, anything that makes me leave it on the plate! Even if you have to eat the school lunch doesn't mean you have to clean your plate!

| oh i used to eat way less ! when i started SP i was at 800-900 cal/day and managed to eat 1200 cal by the end of fast break. now i have an occasional day of 1500 cal or of 800 cal but not that often. i was over the range for like 3 days in the entire period (since mid-April) so i think once u learn the healthy habbits they stuck!:P

| I love healthy food, but it seems that even the healthy food adds up. For example, a kiwi fruit is something like 100 calories! So even though I am eating healthy, it still seems like I am reaching my max limit.

I must admit that I sometimes exceed the limits , but then I try to exercise more to make up for it.
BUT it does get easier over time. Healthy food does not have to be bad-tasting and one can usually eat more of it than unhealthy food.
So, hang in there.

It was really hard for me at first. I ate a lot! It will get better. You will get full faster. Now I'm full with 1/2 the food I would eat before. Try to drink a lot of water before you eat. It makes me full faster.

Spark says that I should eat around 1200-1500 calories per day. The first day was HARD, and the second day isn't looking much easier. However, I am up for the challenge!! Anyone else having some problems finding a balance in their calorie intake?
I think my problem is in the school lunch. I work as a teacher and am expected to eat the school lunch. They do a FANTASTIC job at making it healthy (much more so than when I was in school in the US; I'm in Japan now) but the calories still seem a tad high. Anyone else in a similar situation?
