| I forget about it and realize it's a new day. I eat right and exercise, but i may do an extra 15 to half hour of cardio to make up for it if i was reeeeeally bad!

| It's best to just "let it go" and try to improve the next day. The very first day I joined I went way over my calorie guidelines. It's something that happens every once in a while and where's the fun if you don't start off on the wrong foot now and then? But the next day, I made better choices and fell in line. It also helps to try to add more to your workout that day or the next. One day will not make or break your goals. It's how several days stack up.

| I usually will eat a little less the next day but I have to admit after over-eating I usually am less hungry the next day. I work out 10 - 15 minutes more the rest of the week too.

| Put that day behind you and try again the next day. It is hard because of guilt I know but if I did not put it behind me I would have quit too.

I agree, don't beat yourself up over it, it happens to all of us. Try for an extra hard excercise session and eat more fruit and veggies during the next day. I am headed for a few days of trouble, yesterday I ate about 1000 calories more than usual, today I will go out for dinner again (but this time to a restaurant with nutritional info, thank goodness!) then I have 2 days to "recover" and 3 more days of trouble ahead since we're going out of town and will have to eat out every day. But I also know that after this week, the bad days are over and I can go back to normal.

| Whatever you do, don't beat yourself up over it. It was just one day in the rest of your life. Remember ~ no one is perfect. You just pick yourself up by the bootstraps and go on! You can do this, you know you can!!

Tell us your goals on here, then come back later to report. Having someone to report to can often help people, so what exercise are you planning today, and what are you going to eat?

| So yesterday was my first bad day since joining up for sparkpeople a week ago. I went about 300 calories over my max and didn't exercise at all. I know my pattern; with past diets as soon as I screw the least little thing up I quit and go back to my old ways. I don't want that to happen this time around. Does anyone have any suggestions for ways to recover from an unhealthy day that will help cement these lifestyle changes so it doesn't happen all that many times as the program continues?
